Thread: no group bug...need a work around (devs need a solution please)

ok I just asked CSR-TravisD and he wont answer me at all.

I get a group to gether but none of the group members or pets show up in my group screen. The other group members say it shows up for them. This is normally not a big deal for me but hey....Im a SL trying to get exp.


I get no exp when the group doesnt show up on my screen.**edit**. I tried a full log out...wait...wait some more...relog.


still group is messed up.. What do I do. I've bugged this manny times in the past several month but now it really matters due to not getting SL exp. for kills.......

any ideas??

Need a little more info to go on.. Does this happen every time you're in a group, or intermittently? If intermittent, when does it happen? Does it only happen when you are inviting? Can you join a group and see who is there?


If the latter, have someone else create the group and "/make" you the leader until you can figure out what is going on with your group list.


I can say that this has never happened to me. There was a time when the opposite occured - the names would sometimesremain if I kicked individual members or if they left on their own. They couldn't see the group, but I could still see them (not sure if I ever got experience for this, usually it happened at the end of the night when everyone was crafting, making maintenance runs, or otherwise taking care of business before a log.

happens when forming a group I try to make another member leader then switch back still groups dont show up even theres and my pets. even if I log out and log back in. still cant group.

Hmmm this is pretty confusing.


Do the players name boxes show up in the upper left hand corner? If they do and they are just invisible its the poofing bug, fixed by a quick relog. This happens when players put you on autofollow while riding a vehicle or such. Its been a hard bug to track down. So there might be other instances where they will go invisible.


If its not the poofing and they are not added to your group list... well then I have no idea what to tell you.


Try it out and tell us what happend.

I have this bug on occasion. the best solution I've seen is to just join a group and have them make you leader. Whenever someone else starts a group I can see everybody and usually after that I can make groups fine.

That has happened to me in the past. It's a server side issue... I tried the grouping a pet on two different machines using the same account-- and had the same problem. The only thing that fixes it is waiting for a server reset (and a compacting of the database I presume).

Yeah, the way I read it was that the names weren't showing up on the group list, which isn't something I've heard of before.

the names dont show up at all.. I tried disbanding and regrouping....joining an existing goup still the group window just has me in it. logging for a few hours still no fix.


the only fix ive found is server reset. thank god its daily... this happens only once every 4-5 days.



BTW stay away from Kor Vella on radiant server....So many stormtroopers running around that the lag is extreamly bad. Took me 30 min just to get from inside the starport to the outside. them another 13 min just to get to an area with no lag..........


I counted over 100 stroms just at the enterance of the starport. with the right combo of people hitting in 3 waves with goup damage......endless exp...befor you re-clone... I just cant find anyone stupid enough to try it with me lol.
