Just some things i think would help out squad leader.

#1. Attack bonuses like group increased attack speed, group accuarcy, and a lower special actoin cost for the group.

A move that can target one HAM bar that was mentioned earlier.

#2. Some real defenses. Instead of some little group melee and ranged give the group a 20% dmg reductoin or higher. Group HAM increase like +500 to all or faster regeneratoin rate's. Shorter incapacition times.

#3. Moves were squad leader can sacrifice himself for good of the group . Like put all wounds on the squad leader and BF or somethings like this

#4. One thing that would help alot would be either shared xp per kill or increased combat xp for a master squad leader.

Just some suggestoin i would like some replies on this one because lets face it SL sucks as of now.

The best skill i own at the moment is /sys messages i have hotkeyed. I can quickly direct fire i go over the commands before heading out with a new group. I have the ever present attack command targeting a creature and having its name come up. its been easy since they have been rancors and usually you have three different rancors out at a time with different names. I have the regroup command. I have the necessary Cease Fire command. And most importantly i have the provide cover fire command. Much like the attack but i order covering fire for an endangered party member. Which requires a group member to target that other person and type /assist. and then all their combat activities can quickly switch targets. I find this a much more effective thing than volley fire considering they may now use their specials on the intended target.

Other than that the Rally command is nice though i hear many complaints of i cant harvest i cant loot i cant pick, scratch, etc while rallied. Form up is nice but rarely used to this point and the default command on that has given me more problems than it is worth. Look Lively Squad is the new command for that.

I find that the most beneficial thing though to this point is the Sys messages i need to create a hotkey for medical emergencies, such as posion, disease attacks, or bleed attacks.

Yeah it would be nice to have some other things included in this class. It shouldnt make us the most feared players in the game, but it should make us something that every group wants. I like many of the ideas that have been formulated. I like the idea of squad leaders getting a status effect group operated weapon, even if it does absolutely no damage to the enemy. I really like the concept of the fortifications, every one knows that when fighting starts everyone seeks shelter and some protection from death. They don't run around on open plains. Fortifications would bring realism to PvP. right now its more like an old west gunfight than a true battle. Many on bria have done a lot to create large battles and have fun in the GCW but a enhanced squadleader profession with fortifications would be a great asset to the game.

Despite my desires for some new skills or abilities to be added to this field, I know the squad leaders that are serious about this profession know that the real test of a squad leader isnt the skills we get but the way we lead and organize our groups. It is more of a test of self. We would be leaders even if we didn't have this professionl. It just helps us do what comes naturally to us.

On a side note i have been squad leader now for 2 weeks. I dropped master doctor to have this profession. And i do not regret it. I have never enjoyed anyother profession as much as this one. I really appreciate getting the tells now asking, "You have a group hunting now?", "When are we going out again?","Dude, I wish you were here this is the most unorganized group","Can i add you to my friend list?".Instead of the persistent are "You buffing","REZ me", "HEAL ME", "CURE ME" messages that i constantly recieved while my doc tag was on. I love my former collegues to death but i don't envy them guess thats why I married a doc its always nice to wake up in the morning give your darling wife a kiss and say, "Honey i am going out to kill a bunch of (insert your favorite mob here) can you give me a quick buff. I've been SL now about 2 months, I have finally noticed that powers fail way more than they should, their costs are astronomical for what you get in return too. Most skills go forgotten and useless, and the profession is ridiculously easy to master. Or is it? For what you get out of it, maybe the exp should stay where it is. The single biggest advantage I get from SL is the ability to shut down a base. The second is the wound balancing skill only because I'm also TKM and can manage a groups wounds without camping. Other than that, this is not a profession I find much use for. I don't think I'll be keeping it either. It makes more sense for me to do rifleman, smuggler, doctor, commando....etc etc. Or even take up some crafting professions. I personally hate crafting, but at least I would get something out of that time spent. Right now, SL just doesn't have much to offer.

Where are you Dev's? Throw us a bone!
