So, I see some really awesome design documents for the Smugglers come out last week.. Congrats guys, looks like you're in for a ride!

Today, I see a publish go out for Entertainers & Dancers, giving them some of their long awaited new material.

But.. after over a year of waiting, I still don't see anything about Squad Leaders.

Just thought I'ld point that out....

I hear ya. Don't know what else to say. The CU is bringing some goodies for SL. As far as the actual SL revamp? Dunno.

Am I the only one that finds it a little... oh, I don't know.. "Scary?" that with all these "revolutionary" changes going on that are going to "totally redefine combat in new exciting ways", we haven't been told (outside the ~100 or so people in the CURB sandbox) what's going on?

Seems something this widespread would be published for public review & opinion before they wasted 6 months coding it up, only to find they really didn't change anything. (Not that that's the case, how would I know? That's kinda the point).

I guess i'm just tired of logging in, spinning in a 360, and seeing that there's nothing for me to do before I go to Everquest2 :-(

Nope, you're not the only one. And give the release date for RotW and the assumption that the CU will go live the same day (if not sooner), I would expect to see SOMETHING soon - we're sitting at 7 weeks to release now if I remember correctly.

If we are getting some stuff in the CU and then a full revamp afterwards then i'm happy. With the smuggler revamp docs I can see that SLs will hopefully have abilities to radar jam and formations or fortifacations.

In my eyes SL is THE combat professions since this profession influence the way combat works for others and for himself.
Since combats is going to change a lot according to what the correspondents say it will affect how SL work in groups even more.

I was excited and patient and teased by all infos that was passed down, although it mostly was, it's all gonna be different and its all gonna be awesome but with the snappy movement and its usage in combat, im fear a little bit that the direction is going more into a fps shooter even more than it's now (ppl spamming headshot3 and just running aroudn is even more lame then running around with the BFG because that one you actually have to fire yourself, and not just macro it).

Still these feares are bases on rumors so they might be totally wrong.

I hoped for a slightly slowed down combat, because if combat slows down you get more time to react, hence leading to a more tactic turn based combat, where you actually have to use your grey matter between the ears to win a fight. And its not the best buffs and the best loot.

I already tried once to ask a merely directional question about the CURB but in the end my post was locked down.

till then its all just sit and wait....
