I have to say with this lastest patch we Squad Leaders are finally going to be ableto directly effect the course of the Galactic CivilWar.Our skills were sought after in some casual ways before - "yeah, it's good to have an SL leading the group, they can take care of dizzy...", but not like they will be sought now.

With so many planets in contention and enemy bases to destroy to gain control, I believe we few proud Squad Leaders will be in high demand. In fact, I can see a major influx of new SL's coming because we are so few and far between. We have finally become a profession that matters - as it should be.

If this is any indication of the direction we're headed with the upcoming CURB - I can't wait!!

I've already seen Squad Leaders around. The new NPCs do good damage, dizzy/KD like crazy, and you really need a group to handle them. I'm happy to see so many more SLs around cities now.

and not only because of that

With all those smugglers and Million Billion Credits owning ppl out there buying bases, bases are flourishing like hell (what I think to a certain extend is wrong, because currently rich ppl affect GWC control more than the armed population).

So to take them down:
You need at least a Novice SL.

Be prepared to see a lot of them around to take all those bases down ...

Unfortunately, there are still alot of people out there who have no clue that the squad leader prof exists, much less what it does. Case in point, I helped a few friends with their village quest a few days ago. Out of 20 people, 3 understood that SL's give bonuses. Couldn't seem to grasp why I wanted to be group leader.

Man, I HATE those people. They tend to be either new, and are exempt from my wrath, or teh uber 133t dorks who don't care cuz no one told em it was necessary to become the n00b pwner.

hehe only real great thing i noticed is using retreat and formup

case and point would be i did recon on a base and went to take it out w/ 3 other ppl. so we get in and slice all the terms easy then 2 AT-sts and some nova troopers spawned as 1min left on the boom timer they all wanted to just take the kill but just rallied/retreat and we flew out of there to a base i plopped 300m away. defenitly made me proud to actually use this prof

I personally would love to be a master SL but with Master commando I don't quite have the skill points for this. But with this new patch I am always being called on from different groups of people to help them take down bases. I find I use rally the most. Form up would be great but as a commando I am the one who is always getting the dizzy or stun and it won't let me use form up when I am either one of these. So needless to say I have never been able to use form up.
