Any advice please?
The first time i masterd Squad leader was in a Rancor group, Which are very rare now a days since everyone solos

Jus get a big group and follow around an efficient FS commando grinder on Dath killing BAz nitches.

my alt was the leader of a group of about 10 rebs taking imp bases for 3-4hr i mastered in that time and kept capping xp so quick it was mad

GemmaGirl is absolutely right!
Back when rebel PVE bases had 80k+ HAM defenders I was a novice SL leading a group of about ten imperials against a forward outpost. I capped on SL xp in less than an hour. I was routinely seeing 9k SL xp awards as my teammates took down defenders.

squill cave is also a good place for xp just ask people already there to form a group with you.
