Thread: Melee and ranged group defense broken?

I was chatting with my group the other day. I was looking at my skills screen. My stats show the +30 ranged and melee defense, but none of the group members had the bonuses to any defense whether it be group melee defense or just melee defense. Do we know that these bonuses work? To be totally honest, I have not seen a difference in defenses while watching others fighting in or out of my group. Has anyone tested this? Are there any group melee defense + CA or AA? Thanks....

Yes I started the group...and all of our group was rebel and on leave for PvE missions.
Has anyone ever conversed with their group to find out of they actually do see the bonus?

They all must be the same side of the war and the SL should start the group not have it passed to them.
The SL also has to be the highest up the tier of SF/Combatant/leave/neutral or they do not give bonuses to those higher up then them.
eg: A sl leads a group of Special Forces - unless the SL is Special Forces as well the group does not benifit. If the SL is SF and the group is combatant then the group gets the benefits.

also, the group melee/ranged bonuses do not show up on the stat sheets. Best way to test is to get a person with 0 defenses, have him/her fight something mid-difficulty, and have him/her see how much s/he gets hit while grouped and while ungrouped.
Or you could just ask Blackferne.

ya thats how I've been checking that people are getting or not getting their bonus, by checking their stats screen.

Ask Blackferne: funny 
Tonight I did my weekly DWB raid. I noticed alot more damage across the group until I was made leader. ( We always have to start with somebody else as leader til we get to a certain room, I don't know why)
But I'm MBH/MSL I can tell you I notice a severe difference since I have practically no defense if ungrouped.

sorry Blackferne, wasn't trying to put you down or anything like that, I was more refering to the multiple posts you have where you swear by a SLs defense bonuses...
