Thread: SL Petition
ok, i hate to be the one to do it but i am sick of nothing.
I want to start a petition for a DEV response to the SL profession.
What this petition is about:
1. every profession has had a DEV response of some kind (at least i think so...)
2. we never got a response to our first correspondent report
3. the DEVs came out with a list of proposed changes that a) was never posted in the SLboard b) was postedas quick as possible on the way to some dinner arrangement c)most people did not like the ideas and their concerns were never addressed.
4. Never got a response to our Second correspondent report
5. there are rumors that there are 2 programers are working on the profession but we dont know this officially and we also dont know if they are implimenting the ideas of the proposed SL changes (the ones that no one liked)
6. we have had NO fixes since day ONE!! (didnt make ANY of the big patches) (except for they are fixing the boost morale exploit next week)
7. we haveNO trust in the SL - DEV relationship (mostly because thereisnt one!!)
What this petition is not
1. this is not about the "fix us now or i will quit" attitude. I think changes are coming but we just dont know when, what, and how long.
What we want: (but we do not demand) any of the following if possible
1.We would like a full report on the status of the SL profession but if this is not possible ANY kind of DEV response would be very helpful even a "hi guys you are not forsaken udates soon!!" would be good enough for me at this point
2. we want to know what your thoughts of the responses to the proposed SL changes

I am on hiatus of SWG for this very reason, yet I am not threatening to "wuit" or anything.
note: I really like the attitude of this petition... very mature, and showing that we "want" it to work, because we love the game and the potential SL has

Even though I am pretty new to the SL profesion, I can see that SL needs to be addressed. I would really like to see a few more skills, the current ones arenot what I expected from an upper lvl prof.
I to like the idea of a mature petition, to many are flames against SWG and the Devs. Good post!

SWG seems to be based on having people work together. That's a good case for the SL profession to get some love from the developers.
I think the profession is having dialog with the devs, via our correspondant. If you check his recent posts (prior to his vacation), he said he has finally gotten in communication with the devs and that things are being worked on. His is, however, restricted about what he can feed us at this time.
IMHO, try to have just a little more patience, because I think things are coming..
