Er no sorry, as a Squad Leader myself I totally disagree that these changes are bad. Sorry, but a lot of the changes for me are excellent.
A Squad Leader in an army has total control over his troops, tells them what to do and when. If that is not what you want from the profession you chose the wrong one IMHO.
I just don't get it. What is the problem with the skills? They are far better than what we have now - i.e. nothing. I hate the fact that at the moment I am leading a squad and some idiot pops the lair in spite of repeated sysgroup messages.
Holding fire (as one example) would eliminate this problem completely, and allow a devastating attack to be launched in unision.
There is too much moaning at the moment about something we have not seen in action. No wonder we are being ignored - we are never happy!
In all the proposed abilities nothing remotely resembles a Master level skill. Perhaps novice box, maybe up to a tier 2, but nothing in there remotely resembles a high level skill for an advanced hybrid class. Beyond that, 75% of what they are proposing would make pets out of PCs, something nobody wants. I would rather have the class never be fixed than be fixed wrong and have to contstantly endure under powered sub-par tinkering. To fix SL right they need to overpower it and then nerf it back to reality.
And I just don't get it as well... I kick guys like that from my team, or don'tteam w/ them to begin with.Not trying to flame you, but really, these skills only help people that don't understandteaming... and I don't have enough time to hold everyones hand through "MMO101" every time I login. That's whyI'm in a PA, to have consistant teams.
With a skilled team, I'd be much better off investing my skill points elsewhere, and contributing more as a teamie than a leader.
I'm not playing 15 a month to tutor someone on MMO tactics, and I'm certainly not going to weaken my character to do so!
Okay, I have been trying to refrain from saying this, but I will now... please understand this is constructive criticism, and I do not mean to flame (though I know it will be taken as such):
In Real Life, I am a TV News Director, and it is my job to "command" a news cast... one of the first lessons you have to learn (normally the hard way) is this:
You cannot DEMAND respect, you have to EARN it.
To be blunt, anyone whoneeds these abilities is demanding respect.

Also, I am all for Military-esque commands, but what I want is something that picks a target for my players... THEY decide to pull the trigger or not (aka: ~1)
What I am afraid of is this: A few bad Squad Leaders will ruin a hunt for players, thus making everyonenotnt to ever group with Squad Leaders again... Trust me, this will happen.
So, if you give me things like /grouptarget instead of /groupattack I will be happy, but I will be very upset if they go with /groupattack. Thankfully, if they do go with these changes, I will at least have my PA to hunt with... they have already told me they trust me.
