Thread: DEVS! Keep it simple!
Simple = Good
It's easier to implement, easier to understand, and in this case, it's more than likely of larger benefit to the profession as well as the teams we lead. Give us better buffs instead of re-coding our profession to include these commands... especially as we don't want them, and they are of little benefit to a team of experienced players.
While some players would appreciate the level of control you propose, it is unwanted by a vast majority of squad leaders. I for one have been leaning more and more towards surrending many of these skills in light of the direction you wish to take this profession... especially considering the investment as a hybrid profession.
Please reconsider this direction, and consider buffs that reflect the order and control our presence brings... w/o requiring us to actually PROVIDE the order and control.
I am tending to agree with this the more I fight against the harder mobs.
a skill tree like this would be fine
I-offensive tactics--USEABLE bonuses to aim, and damage, and range modifiers
II-defensive -permanent bonuses to avoid being hit, knocked dow or reduced damage (under the guise of good cover-not just 'magic') and to remove effects like stun, dizzy, etc.
also 1 time abilities like 2x damage or remove effects like stun, dizzy if someone does get hit
III-tactics-ability to pull enemy aggros off of its target, including lair healers.

IV-misc: sysmessage, volleyfire
the HAM and wound stuff-leave it to the medics
Forced control is also for abusing newbs who irritate or annoy your group. The one that spams invite me now when you've already told him the group is full. You add him in, put him in his own sub-group. Put that group on offensive stance, so it gets hit more. Force him to follow you. Force him not to be able to fight. Drag him into agro. Force him to attack the mob. Then force him to peace and force him to change targets. Watch as he's slaughtered. Then he runs to SOE and crys about the change.
Its the same thing that will happen with pistoleers once they change disarming shot 1 and 2 to damage guns. We don't want the change but they won't listen. We are going to hunt weapons at that point, blowing up 100k T21's with our CDEF griefers until enough people complain to SOE and they have to change it.
Sorry, but this game is beyond stupid with the nerfs and changes. The only way to get something changed is to have enough people yell about it an there simply aren't enough SL to make a sound in the hurrican of CH and BH. There will be when their changes blow up in their own faces.
