I am an aspiring SL on gorath and I need some survival xp, anyone have any suggestions besides fishing on how to get fast xp?- Scozurx Heroneus

You get it for fishing?

yes, around 70-140 points per catch

oh and do the basic camp kits have an xp limit on them? i can only seem to get 360xp before itdisbands

yes the basic top at about 340 from what I recall, however how I did my Survival exp was this. If there is a hot spot faction base in your server, place a camp infront of it. People runing in and out of it gives you exp. Also have a dancer with you for people to come get mind wounds healed. She will make nice tips there for that. healing gives more exp also to it.

I did it in front of TIO's base on starsider and gained 40k exp in 4hrs about. camp would max, i would disband and toss a new one down.

i think you get up to 800 survival XP when you sit in a multi-person for 20 minutes, or maybe thats the impoved kit, im not sure. but the camps will last longer then 20 minutes so youll want to disband it and place a new one. at least this is how it worked 2-3 weeks ago before i completled my survival training, things may have changed since then.

I got my xp from my guildies sittin in my camp before our weekly meetings...

I know that not all people are guilded though, so here is my best survival xp advice: Hunt in a group on one of the non-starter planets... these groups normally have a few other scouts/rangers gettin xp, but just add yourself to the rotation. Trust me, this is the FASTEST way (even when you are not doing all the camps) to get survival xp, and since you are not grinding, you get combat xp, and have fun at the same time (fun? in a mmorpg? imagine that )

While you are out there, see if the group will let you Lead the fight (tell them you are working up to SL... tell them yes, you are a masochist... they will probably let you lead if they dont have a SL)

or if you cant find any groups to hook up with just get as far away form an town as its nessicary to plop a camp down and while your there work on an other skill like crafting and/or surveying. you can do all three at once, survival craft and survey.
