I am not a Squad Leader. I have not read these boards, so what I am about to suggest may have already been suggested. (Heck, it may be something that Squad Leaders are already supposed to get in the game...)
But I just had a brainstorm.
Grouping in SWG is something of a bogus proposition given the random distribution of damage in the HAM bars.
Squad Leaders should get an ability to "direct" fire from members of their group, such that one of the HAM bars is favored over the other two. As the Squad Leader advances towards Master Squad Leader, this skill becomes more effective. A Master Squad Leader's group would direct 95% of their fire at the same HAM stat, thus making the group more efficient and giving them the ability to kill things much faster than a disorganized group without a Squad Leader.
If this has already been suggested, or if it's something that Squad Leaders can already do (or should already be able to do but can't due to the broken nature of the class), then please disregard.

I like this idea.Perhaps have the odds of the hitting the lowest HAM bar increased with a SL in the team. Let it check against the ability of the SL to see if the hit lands on the lowest bar or not. This would onlly function if someone was not using HAM targeting specific attacks.

Could be overpowered in PvP, tho.
Imagine me and my badazz Master SL self marching around with 3 faction pets and a cowardly gurreck and even a probot, all of which will be mauling your mind.
And thats assuming I dont bring any PLAYERs along...
Unless some serious mind-heal abilities come out, this would only emphasize the PvP imbalances in the game. Its a good idea, but I don't know if SWG is ready for it.
