I am a Holocron draftee (you gotta love it).

So, what skillboxes/lines should I work on first in order to eke out as much bang there is in the profession as quickly as possible?

You don't get a "bang" out of your skills as squad-leader - we are a combat-*support*-profession! So start with any skills you like - most of them are broken anyway...

steady aim isnt bad to start with, and i hear the form up is working now so start with those and form there probably get the mobility tree

How do you improve the entire game, and one of the more useless professions at the same time? Well this is a start: Help Support the http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=squad_leader&message.id=10609>Fortification Proposal

Start with /formup. Then get /steadyaim. Then get /rally. Then get the remaining lvl 1 box.

Here comes the tricky part: get all lvl 2 skills. I suggest working left to right. Then get all lvl 3 skills. Once again, left to right works. After that, get your lvl 4 skills. Any order this time! All that is left now is your master box. Then you can leave and never look back. Quitter.

/FormUp is very good. The passive group terrain bonus is awesome if you group with non-scouts who are not combat medics. After those two I pushed the melee defense bonus to +25 and then the ranged defense. I was a master for 5 minutes, then untrained back down to 3/0/3/4. I may even drop down to 3/0/3/0 again.

Do the Mobility Line up to Mobility III. Then do the line with melee defense if you PVE alot or the range defense line if you PVP alot. After that...fill it in as needed. The line with volleyfire and steadyaim though..Blech! Leave that for the end.

Who are you guys kidding...

2 nights and you'll have them all (provided you group properly). Get them all!!! Then bask in the glory that is Master Squad Leader. (Or rather explain to people exactly what you don't do.)

My fav so far has been... "Court Jester is a Master Squad Leader! We have to protect him at all costs!!" (the guy was serious when he made the statement.) Made me feel good for the want, made me feel bad for the lack of ability. Squad Leader is for lack of a better word, just a fancy title. The leader comes from within. If it weren't for that, then many of us would be nothing, and people wouldn't think sl does something.

Hehe, I like that about squad leader too. And yes, the title of the profession is just a formality, and only one with leadership traits inside them can tell a bunch of people to go out there and die for you.. and see them actually do it

Yeah, that's something that made me not pursue the profession from the get-go. I'm a very bossy person in any group i'm in, even with the "Homemaker" title.

That's actually the true conundrum I will face. which title is awesomer, Homemaker or Commissar?
