Thread: Squad Leader Bug
Well, I am certainly aware of the issues that you guys are talking about with SL. I just got SL today and in trying to gain XP found a bug that I haven't read if anyone reported it.Anyways, Igot totally ticked off at the fact that for a long time I was able to gain XP and then all of a sudden I wasn't getting any! I tried loggin in and out, ungrouping and regouping...basically anything I could think of. So finally, I did figure out the following:
If, as SL, you are using a pistol, rifle or carbine that you are maxed out on your experience points, you will not collect ANY SL xp. If you switch to a gun that you still have xp points available, you WILL collect xp points.
I was using a pistol and a rifle most of the time I was trying to gain SL xp points...but this was after I had dropped novice pistoleer, which freed up some xp of course, and so was able to collect those SL xp points. If I switched to my carbine which isn't maxed out, I get those SL xp points. It almost seems that ANY weapon skill that has enough points available to get leveled up, is a bad choice of engaging weapon as you will not get any xp points.
hmmm I hope this makes sense... ;P

Try to next time, saves space and our time reading the post. There is a search feature you can use at the bottom of your screen, scroll all the way down.
I'd like to report a Squad Leader bug, it's probably already been reported, but I want to know if it's been addressed.
When you use the /sysgroup message, often, but not always, the first word of the message is deleted and doesn't show up in the middle of the screen. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, does the SL Profession just not like me? Or is this addressed?

what happens is that it is trying to recognize your first word as a player name...consequently, if you try to put a player name there, often you get "System message to group:%TT........(text)....."
it's weird...what I do now is just put a period in front of all /sys messages.
