Its been said before and I'll say it again - you can do plenty with SL skills if you're a baseline decent leader and put some thought into it.

not gonna lie i am a holo squad leader but still, any professions you can master in a day should be a starting profession.

But because it is an elite profession and requires several skills that acutally take longer to attain than master squad leader, it needs to be a bit harder to do , and have some better rewards.

Though you might say that this profession is useful can you actually compare it to the power of other elite professions such as creature handler smuggler or anything else?

An SL in a large group gets xp too easily, that's true. It is also true thatSL does not hold a candle to any other combat support profession.

Not lighting any fires here, im just expressing my opinion on the state of the profession.

It's not like we like it that way. SL is a joke and they are taking more skills away everyday.

Yes, they do take things away. We used to be able to use /boostmorale while grouped with healthy pets to eventually get rid of wounds. They fixed that...

We all understand what you are talking about but please keep in mind that the SL xp formula changed three times in a month from a formula that worked well (albeit based only on your own personal production) to one that was insanely hard to one that is insanely easy. So...people like me took a month and a half (sometimes less sometimes more) at the beginning of the game but now people like you are able to do it in a day or so. Pretty disheartening to those of us that worked our tails off for the same lack of benefits you are now receiving.

As for the abilities...lets see...SL has the third highest skill point requirements yet it has the lowest return on skill points of all professions (even including Chefs whose food does actually do something tangible.) Our abilities, the active ones that do do something, fail more often than the work and cost way more Mind than they should given what they actually do. For instance, steadyaim is okay. It gives a modest boost to a player's accuracy for one shot. Have you looked at accuracy for BH, Pistoleer, Carbineer and Rifleman? They don't need a boost, modest or severe. Yet the mind cost of this special in a large group makes it usable about twice. For a one shot accuracy boost? Say it with me...What!?! Rally is okay, it gives a small accuracy boost and a small defensive boost. And costs around 200 mind per use whether or not the use succeeds. Say it with me....What?!?!

Now, look at CM, Doc, Bounty Hunter, CH, Smuggler and Commando. Those are the cream of the crop. Commando though, if you'll recall..and BH for those who were in Beta...had to have a serious rework to make them work correctly. That's what it will take to get SL up and really running.

As a Master Squad Leader with along history of being good at what he does, the power I wield is far greater than someone who is a master CH or Bounty Hunter.

This is because I, personally, wield a Master CH, a Master BH,2 Master Doctors, a TKM, 2 Master Commandos, and even a couple of Jedi now. It works like any other profession: I click on anything, hit a macro button, and that thing dies.

I am totally l33t.

And once again this old argument. Are you telling me you wouldn't be able to do this if you were anything but SL? You would...

Gorden, perhaps you dont understand, we want to be able to do more, not everyone can find their niche in the abilities the Devs have allowed us... We will not be happy until WE are more valuable to a group then a CH
