Yes, I've read through the various posts but I still cant seem to figure out how to get it to work, that is, /sysgroup colours and macro's, my awesomely useless novice skill. For starters I cant use backslashes in galaxies. Dont know why, but when I press backslash (or shift backslash) it does absolutely nothing. So there's colours knacked for me right off. Secondly, is there a way to macro /sysgroup (colour) so you can press the macro and /sysgroup (colour) appears in the chat tab ready for you to type a command?

The best way to do this is to make an alias.

For a red message I type this: /alias rr /sysg \#FF0000\

Then you can type /rr {Your text here} and everything you type will be in red.

As for a macro to make something show up in the chat window, ready to accept your input, I don't think that's possible. I tried it several ways several times over the last several months, and no dice. It may be possible, but if it is I certainly don't know how to do it.

A good alternative is to make macros that accept variables. My F1 key is set to:

/sysgroup Current Target is %TT

This gives them the name of my target and all I have to do is target something and hit it.

Excellent, thanks very much everyone, will experiment with this tonight some more, as for the backslashes, hmm, the key itself is working fine, but wont work ingame, anyone else have this trouble?
