Squad Leader Archive

I'm new to Squad Leader, but I've been looking through my worthless (but fun) skill trees, and I realized, since we are SQUAD leaders, shouldnt we do more for a group than just terrain negotiation and defense bonuses? I propose something like group FP bonuses, or take it one step further and do things like have a passive ability granting faction NPCs bonuses. Turn one of our lines into a faction based thing?I was thinking something such as this:

Novice Squad Leader

+10% FP awarded to group

+5 Faction NPC Defense (Ranged and Melee)

+5 Faction NPC Accuracy

+5 Faction NPC Terrain Negotiation

Faction Warfare I

+10 to Faction NPC Defense (Ranged and Melee)

+5% FP awarded to group

Faction Warfare II

+10 to Faction NPC Accuracy

+25 to Faction NPC Damage

+5% FP awarded to group

Faction Warfare III

+15 to Faction NPC Defense (Ranged and Melee)

+25 to Faction NPC Terrain Negotiation

SupportFire - Ability which uses the SL's mind and action to make each faction npc in the group use a support attac, such as bleed/suppresion fire/ranged kd/stun/whatever at some penalty to damage and accuracy.

+5% FP awarded to group

Faction Warfare IV

+10 to Faction NPC Accuracy

+25 to Faction NPC Damage

+5% FP awarded to group

Master Squad Leader

+10% FP awarded to group (total 40% bonus)

+10 to Faction NPC Accuracy (total 35 point bonus)

+10 to Faction NPC Defense (Ranged and Melee) (total 40 point bonus)

+25 to Faction NPC Damage (total 75 point bonus)

+10 to Faction NPC Terrain Negotiation (total 40 point bonus)

Something along those lines, so that passive bonuses increase the usefulness of Faction NPCs by augmenting their attacks, defense, AND mobility, turning them into all-around better combatants. I also included the Support Fire ability as a way for them to add something BESIDES damage/meat shielding to a group. I'm not entirely sure the version here is balanced, or even doable, but I would definately like to see something of the sort.
