I know that Squad Leadership XP is earned from being the Leader of a Group and is based on the amount of Combat XP earned, but I have some questions about how that formula is calculated.

1) Do the number of people in the group affect the modifier of Combat XP to Squad Leadership XP? What I mean is, when I'm grouped with my pet, and I kill a creature that gives me 300 Combat XP, and I get about 600 Squad Leadership XP, the modifier is Squad Leadership XP = 2X Combat XP. My question is, if I have 3 people in my group, does the modifier change to like 2.5x or 3x, or do I just earn more XP because more people are earning Combat XP?

Both actually. The exact numbers are still unknown (I think), but you're multiplier goes up with the number of people in your group (NPC's & Pets count), and with more PC's because of the extra Combat XP.

2) If I am the leader of a group, can I invite someone elses pets who is in the group to join? I have had issues in the past with Creature Handlers that needed to be the leader in the group to invite their pets, and I just wanted to know if there is way that I can invite their pets.

You can't invite their pets, but they can invite their pets so long as they are within range of you. I don't know the exact range, but if they're out of range you'll get odd "A Cowardly Gurreck is beyond group invite range" messages for no apparent reason.

3) Do you accrue additional SL XP for having multiple pets in the group? For example, if I am the SL of a group of 2 (including myself) and the person I'm grouped with pulls out 3 pets, do I get more SL XP per kill for that, or does it not matter?

4) If I am grouped with people who are on different planets, do I still accrue SL XP for the creatures they kill even though I'm not on the same planet?

You only get SL xp for stuff killed within your "range". Basically, once you can no longer see their HAM bars in your HUD, you won't get XP from them. But they do still count toward the multiplier.

5) Aside from just getting in a huge group with a lot of people and being the SL, are there any other tips you guys have to earn XP?
