I already know that carbines are designed to be support weapons in pvp and that they only do so marginally well. I was thinking, since i know i can't hurt those guys, and since i'm not running or chasing i can see the big picture....hmm.... volley fire would be nice right obut now. if nothing else, is volley fire worth it? One would think that being able to take out individuals quickly would be far more efficient than trying to take out the group all at once. Can you imagine macroing volley fire to my KD? guy falls over just as 20 laser bolts burn him to a crisp. but hey, i just started considering SL today, so I probably don't know enough to make these assumptions. i do know however, that the communities of lesser appreciated jobs tends to be more helpful and polite than some others.

The problem with Volley Fire is that everyone does a default attack on your command. Even with 20 people in your group, you're still looking at minimal damage done in PVP.
However, I do find Volley Fire to be very useful in convincing MOBs (including AT-STs) to aggro on someone else
