So that makes how many months of a live game?
How many months of getting passed over as a profession?
How many months of getting told "we're working on that"?
How many months of anticipation?
How many months of latching on to a promise?
How many months of being dissapointed?
How many months have we been patient?
How many more months will we wait?

I quit my SL char months ago. I'm a BH on Valcyn now, and having a much better time. Also, I stopped reading the boards every day, as it only upset me. I take the game for what it is. I've stopped wanting anything new, and started having fun with what's there now. I feel better now. And I'm saving tons of money on shrink bills. :-D

Strangly enough, I have somewhat done the same. I dropped everything except novice SL. I forget what exactly I have 0042 in carbineer and have stopped there for the moment. The rest of my skill points have been put towards crafting.
Hehe, you can master artisan so fast, its not even funny. But I had a blast. Now I am working up architect.... Which is kinda fun also. Crafting grinds are killer, but you can end up with some neat stuff. Plus I still have enough combat power to go out hunting with my friends, as well as a little PvP (I die all the time, but its still fun).
I have said it before and I will say it once more. This is going to take time. Don't expect anything right away. If you do spend a lot of time hunting and enjoy leading groups regardless of the lack of SL skills, please keep the profession and keep having fun. If you need a break, drop the skills and train them again.
Our profession is going to get a huge revamp... which takes a LOT of time and coding and effort. SE is comming soon and that is the big push as far as coding/design time. And I know most of us want to have that in the game asap as well. Just be patient, enjoy the game, group, solo, craft, socialize.... do anything. Just have fun.

I know, Irott, that these things take time. I'm willing to let all the time they had before they started revamping professions slide. The could be working on us right now for all we know. For all we know. We know nothing! couldn't they give us at least a progress report?
P.S.
"We're working on it" is not a progress report. We've submitted several in depth state of the profession reports. How abouta state of the revamp report?

I've been a Carbineer off and on since before buffs were prevalent, I know the pain of a broken class. I had specific reasons to Master Squad Leader and knew what I was getting into when I made that last camp and sat on my ass for 20 minutes more to finish Wilderness Survival. I'm here to stay, enough of this profession works for me to make it worth keeping the Master Title.

Oh, I compleatly agree; I love SL and will sooner drop the game than the class.
Loving the profession has nothing to do with being peeved about being ignored, however.
