Hmm..well if your going to whack in loads of positive points on the new skills (w t f positive points???!!) into your report, please dont make it seem the commuinity is 50/50 devided on this - make sure you TELL them that it's more like 99% very unhappy and 1% stupidly happy split.

So just make sure you tell them the overwhelming majority = not happy with the overhaul, and you can put in the minoritys posts about it - without safely miscontruing the opion that a large portion of teh SL forums = happy with new changes.

Now now, it seems more like a 65% very opposed 20% don't like it but willing to wait 10% do like it and 5% think we will screw the whole thing up by talking to SOE about it.

Actually - that is exactly what I'm going to do. Open the "thoughts" thread and give them exact percentages. I definently would never use the words "majority" or "minority".

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know where the progress is on the report.

It is no doubt going totake me a few hours to assemble the report. I will condense the main-ideas and frequently occuring thoughts into one body, and utilize quotes (especially from the non-SLs commenting on the "new" Squad Leaders in the report. SOE likes me to keep things brief and to-the-point, and I will do my best to fulfill that, but of course I don't see it becoming completely cut-down supershort, as you guys have proven we have a lot to say and there's a lot to be talked about.

I will, at this point in time, stress the overall displeasure with the proposed "new" features, but fear not those who like it or want to wait to see how they are live before commenting - everyone's opinions will go in. I will post a rough draft here Monday (perhaps Sunday if I can get around to it) so that you guys (and gals?)can edit and review it and then I'd like to send a completed version Wednesday afternoon. So I'd appreciate it if as many of you as possible poke your heads in Monday or Tuesday and read over what we've come up with.

I think there is REAL peril with telling them that some people are 'unhappy' with the suggestions. Hey I think they SUCK, BUT I think it's pretty likely that NOTHING will get done if we do this. Keep in mind ALL I see comming from the devs makes me beileve that they have this 'vision' and there building it piece by piece enven if there vision is NO FUN or a CRAPPY GAME. THUS once again I WOULD just make one or two 1000 feet CONCERNS about the new proposal, the best points. And see if we can get the DEVS to convince themselves of changes. It would be nice to treat them as piers on the adult level, but they think of us as idoit children. We have to masage them a bit, too.

I apologize, everyone, for not getting the thread posted today. It is taking far longer than I anticipated to put things together, trying to sound both positive and touching the bases for everyone at the same time is tough. I think I will be done by Tuesday, but at the latest, Wednesday.
