Thread: Does SL help in Group PVP, and if so, how much?
PvP is when I have had the most requests for my presence. Those without Scout or Force Run like the extra movement speed SLs give. Also, in PvP, most people take all the help they can get. So if I can get them +30 melee and ranged defense as well as the defense and accuracy of Rally, the damage of Volley Fire, and the accuracy of Steady Aim. Steady Aim has been iffy since CU, but it's still appreciated. Some people also like Retreat. SLs would be a lot less wanted by others without PvP, in my opinion.

Our passive bonuses alone are usualy more then welcome. Add volley fire and rally to finnish off a target that much faster. You'l find that you will be wanted more in the big orginized battles where people are usualy more knowledgable and know what you would bring to their side.
Thanks for the info.....I might just have to add some SL to my template then.
By the way, I read somewhere on here, that most of the benefits of SL come at 0303. Is that correct?

Depends on what you are looking for. If you only want volley fire and rally, you'd even be good to go at 0301. If you want retreat, though being everything else but retreat, 0303 is your way.
The "insignificant rest" holds +30 group melee defence, +20 group ranged defence, the whole groupterrain negotiation and some defence, general ranged speed and general ranged accuracy for the SL himself.
Perhaps it's just me, but would i be forced to cut down on skillpoints invested into SL, i would try to go with 3301. Group terrain negotiation is quite useful. (I had that more than once... final approach on a hostile base is to be made on foot, especially when defended by SF players. My group started in the middle, sometimes behind the other attacking players. Till we arrived at the target, my group usually was leading the attack due to not being slowed down by hills and slopes. )
