can our groups be hi-jacked by renegade SL's from the opposing faction? if you have a SL using all the wrong commands, could they essentially ruin your group??

call me paranoid, but, is this possible?

Good question. I think it will still be the same as what it currently is in regards to Combatant/SF and Non-Combatant. As well as Faction.

A rogue SL calling retrat at a bad time...or 2nd chance for that matter would be a horrible thing. Yes, the saying too many chefs spoil the broth does hold true.

Why would you group with someone from the opposite faction in the first place? If you are grinding in a group formed at the Mining Outpost on Dant, it's not likely that someone would care to do such thing. In those groups, people tend to forget about the Galactic Civil War. So I don't really see where the problem is.

Who says that he is shown as opposite faction? It's so damn easy to have a char of the faction you currently fight against... i even had something like that some days ago. My team, despite being outnumbered and having significally less jedi in team than the opposition, was able to lay siege to a hostile base. We were at a stalemate for some time, we managed to keep the enemy players under control but had to stay out of attack range of the base, as we all knew, if the NPCs would join combat while we wrestle with the players, we will die. Surprise, surprise, suddenly a guy with imperial sign turned up as combatabt, "helped" us by once shooting at the NPCs and the "retreated" to our position. Nobody knew him, nobody of us told him what's going on, it was in the middle of nowhere... we can't prove that he's the second char of a rebel player, but he definitely was the reason why your attack finally was repelled.

Now, when i go for larger scale operations i often have one or another person in team, who just turned up there and asked for team. I can't crosscheck with everybody, who invited him and why he is here, but as long as most of the team is working well and we're not already on our limits, one wildshot usually can be compensated for. In the future, one guy who suddenly issues retreat at the wrong moment could definitely be a quick and straight death sentence to the complete team.

I said rogue, not opposite faction.

Spies can be alts to opposing faction players that you don't know about till they do something by "accident" and get you all killed.

Exactly why SLs should HAVE to be group leader IMO.
