Master Squad Leader/ Master Ranger / Novice Medic

Is fairly good, you won't have a lot of specials however.... If you do need the speed, you can pick up a Dawn Sorrow Rifle. This will give you +10 General Ranged Accuracy and +8 General Ranged Speed.

I recommend pickup up a Novice Elite for at least the specials. Otherwise you'll only have Overcharge Shot as your main damage shot.

So here's my recommendation.

a) You can heal. At Novice Medic you only heal for about 300-400 points every six seconds or 3000-4000 points every minute.. You can boost this by eating citrus snow cake, aitha or thaktillo/ Healing Efficiency BE clothes / Med Droid.

b) You can do some damage but only use Stim D's/Ruby You can heal for 2400 points every minute...

Unless you're PVP'ing Stims and Ruby does the job. You really need Novice Medic/CM/Doc for PVP.

Here's a bit of a change of your template and this would be totally all Scout Based. This would be the ultimate Scout Based profession.

Master Scout / Master Ranger / Master Squad Leader / Bounty Hunter 0-1-1-0

This will give you two useful specials: Critical Shot and Underhand Shot. This will also leave you 2 points for Force Sensitive which can go to Ranged Speed (Total of +6)

Thank you for the replies.

Interesting you mentioning Bounty Hunter instead of novice medic. In the main I will only be fighting with my guildmates, so I could probably manage with no medic. I'm looking actually at x3xx BH which fits in with Master Squad Leader and Ranger.

Has anyone noticed if the human Leadership +10 racial bonus does anything with the new skillset?

I think 0-1-1-0 would be better because underhand shot is very handy too have and Critical shot is still pretty nice at basic. yea i love my Dawnsorrow i use it all the time ( Liong)

Hello Squad Leaders,

I have recently returned to SWG after I heard about this Combat Upgrade thing.

Before I left I was a Master Ranger, one of the many who wore our badge with pride.

When I returned I had this "respec" thing, and in that time I have checked out a whole variety of skills and professions.

I searched for a combination of professions to play, and probably came closest to Master Ranger Master Creature Handler, or one of the Bounty Hunter Hybrids. I remember looking at the recent Astromech stats showing Ranger very near the bottom (though I think Squad Leader was even lower!).

I am coming very close to the end of my respec now and must make a decision.

I have to admit, I was very close to dropping Master Ranger, and with only a few days left was in a quandary about whether or not to keep it. Today I heard that Squad Leaders had finally received some love, and I must admit, I hadn't given it much thought to consider Squad Leader.

Looking at the skill boxes though, Squad Leader has a cross over with Ranger, and I started to imagine how I would feel about combining the disciples, basically with Master Ranger, Master Squad Leader and Novice Medic.

I could keep my beloved Ranger tag AND I may actually be able to group with other people (Ranger not being a very popular group member alas).

Well, my final respec is either tommorrow or the next day, and I think I may have to choose it before I have even got to see it, but so much of playing a Ranger is in the imagination anyway, I'm more than happy to take the plunge.

I'm now reading up about Squad Leader from this forum, and it seems to be a similar community maturity to the Ranger forum.

I think having my area track, and the Camp of Doom could be fun with the obvious group benefits of Squad Leader, so unless the ground beneath me collapses, it looks like I shall be keeping my badge of Rangership, and combining it with Squad Leader. Here goes nothing!

unfortunatly theres not much attack capability in that combin ation, but to me its sounds a great supporting role.Rangers can be very helpfull in PvP in locating the location of incoming forces and setting up a camp with a healing enhancer is a great help to any squad that has taken a beating.

i personally wish you the best of look and i wish i could come along with you in a group just to see how affective it is
