This pertains to the current system, not the Pub24 stuff.
Can Volley Fire and Steady Aim be used by someone who is grouped only with a droid and nothing else?

As far as I know yes. Just not positive since I personally am hardly ever grouped with npcs.

Does it work for you if you're solo?
Also, about how much is Volley Fire and Steady Aim's bonus?

No, Volley Fire and Steady Aim aren't useable Solo. 15% increase in Damage for Volley Fire and Steady Aim, some debate it's usefulness. I use it though. Check SWGWiki for more information on Steady Aim.

When i hunted NPC jedi id use my LE repair droid to group with then i could use rally and volley fire which helped alot. so i guess it works with NPC's

Yes, Volley Fire works when grouped with an NPC, it does not help the NPC though. Same with Rally and Steady Aim.

my probot hits harder when vollyfire is applied
91 points without 105 points with.

i have tested a probot, a faction npc, and an at-st and can confirm volleyfire works for all three. since the effects of steady aim are questionable i can't report on that.

True. This is since volley fire in effect is a debuff on the target while rally and steady aim are buffs on the team. This difference makes volley fire work for creatures and droids in team, too.
