can i be grouped with a squad leader and then go to another planet and get the benefits it bestows to the group passively?

I don't know about a whole other planet, but I know my teams continue to have their terrain negotiation bonus even when I'm thousands of meters away. Rally doesn't work from that distance, but most people in my groups count that as a positive.

If they leave the planet they dont recieve any benifts from rally or steadyaim or form up.

As for the passive mods I dont know about that part, I've never bothered to ask personally.\
