Thread: SL Specials fail too much, and have way to high HAM cost.
Wow. /formup fails way too much.
I got /formup last night, and I have to say I drain my action bar far before I'm able to cure stun or dizzy. With a group of two -95 every /formup, and failing at least 15 times before stun or dizzy go away doesn't help.
Now, the /rally command doesn't effect me too much, since most of my stats are migrated to mind as an upcomming Rifleman, but mostpeople that aren't 1100/800/400 (Mind/Focus/Willpower) are going to have a hell of a HAM cost to make it worthwhile. I get -118 Mind with THAT Focus. Its still too high.
The /retreat command takes so much HAM it is insane. Even though it has never failed (and I'm not sure if it does or not) and the fact that the /burstrun it gives is incredibly small. -1100 total HAM cost, about 550 on Action and 550 on Mind for me, kills.
Thats all I can say for now.
I've *never* seen /formup fail. I thougth it was a guaranteed success move. Now, it does fall in your combat queue, although it doesn't seem to show up. So you have to be careful about spamming it 5 or 6 times before the first one activates (and the last 4 will still activate but not do anything).
Also, /formup doesn't work on pets, only on players.
Now /rally, that one fails *Waaaaaaaaay* too much. And yes, /retreat might as well be /suicide. The idea for retreat is that the squad leader sacrifices himself to save the squad, unfortunately none of us have enough skill points to really draw anything's attention when the Flamethrowers and fist-o-fury guys have ticked everything off.
Oh, I was always trying on pets, and I always was spamming. That clears it up a bit. Thanks.
Further discussion of these issues is pointless.
I, too, am looking forward to being able to use my abilities. But continuing to complain about this is unnecessary. This horse has been beaten beyond recognition.
