Thread: So, When They Finish the Combat Revamp, We'll Get Some Attention Right?
Ragnoan, I don't mean to flame, but I think you should look over the Top 5 responses a little closer. As far as I know, we should see at least a goodbit of changeby the February publish... This month's publish should see the HAM changes and other tweaks that should benefit SL's, and the Combat revamp does NOT exclude Squad Leaders...
I know that it's frustrating that we've been obviously been a low priority for such a long time, but our turn at the top of the list is VERY soon. Seriously.
No flame taken Thulium, I have read the Top 5 many times, but I'm just not sure if the HAM is going to do it for us. Would we still not have to deal with the over abundant failure rates I'm tired of seeing "You fail to rally the group!" and "Your group fails to volleyfire!" roll across the screen. I'm glad that the HAM thing will happen because I've incapped myself more than once by trying to direct the group.

It's just that the HAM change is the only change that we KNOW will effect Squad Leaders, and in fact it's the only change that we know will happen...and it happens in the next publish. That is not to say that there won't be a LOT of other changes, or that SL's won't get other beneficial changes...it just happens to be one known change that happens before the rest. How all these changes help to balance Squad Leaders, in the overall scheme of things, absolutely remains to be seen... Fail rates will always be an issue, but at some level it's an understandable one.
Fail rates are certainly too high, but I honestly think there are more important issues to be concentrating on... I personally don't care all that much if it takes a few tries to use a Squad Leader ability, considering that none of them confer any signifigant bonus to the group it can't matter all that much. My priority is on injecting some worthwhile abilities into the profession; I'll quibble the details when the details matter.
