Thread: Squad Defensive Bonus'

There seems to be agreement that Squad Leaders should improve the fighting capability of their squads. This comes down to defensive or offensive and I would push for the former, as offensive capability is already pretty strong with the elite combat professions.
I would like to see Squad Leaders enhance the defensive capability of their squad to allow extended battle endurance compared to an equal squad not lead by a Squad Leader. Ideas for this are:
1. Increased Group Ranged Defence - +25 (Tactics IV) or +30 (MSL) is not that high, maybe something like +10 per Tactics box and another +10 at Master for a total of +50 at MSL. Another thing to check is that it stacks with regular Ranged Defence, not sure how to check this though.
2. Increased Damage Mitigation - with the addition of damage mitigation we have the opportunity to extend a squads life during PvP. At a lvl IV box or MSL give all squad members +1 to damage mitigation.
3. Allow shared damage - similar to /boostmoral but for damage not wounds. Thinking about this it would be too overpowered but maybe some limited variation to extend the life of the wounded at the expense of the healthy. Either only affecting a single HAM or adding more wounds while healing damage etc.
4. Increased Regens - Add a slight increase to regens across the board to represent improved moral and fighting vigour. Nothing like buffs, food, or spice (just 100-200) but enough to add a slight level of endurance to the battlefield.
Some suggestions anyway, if there are any agreements we can flush out more detailed descriptions.
