Thread: Squad Leader Mission Terminal Ideas
Concept: Faction and mission terminals have a Squad Leader Tab added. Theses are only accessible by Squad Leaders but are viewable by all classes. Most missions will require a specific class to complete the mission.
Premises: The specific mission specialist will gain XP in their specialty (see below).
All missions are against Humanoids (No Hunting Parties).
XP and faction points gained at an increased rate.
Credit payoff is high.
Intent: To add to the content of the GCW. To give players a good reason to Group with a squad leader. To add flavor and a “raison d’etre’ (Reason to Be) to the Squad Leader class.
Missions could include:
· Combat Patrol (No Mission Specialist)
Eliminate 15, 25, 30 (etc) Enemy troops (Rebs, Imps, swoops, etc)
· Destroy Mission (Commando)
Destroy an Installation. Commando must emplace bomb.
Heavy weapons XP gained by Commando
· Assassinate Enemy Leader (Bounty Hunter)
Enemy is resistant to all damage types but Lightning or Acid
Bounty Hunter receives BH xp for mission
· Reinforcements (Combat Medic)
Friendly troops are in a heavy engagement and need support
Friendly troops are in a battle. NPCs are ‘healable”
· Reconnaissance Patrol (scout\ranger)
A camp must be set up at Waypoint xxxx,xxxx
Occupation must be for 10 minutes
· Hack Mission (Smuggler)
The enemy has data that we need, a data terminal must be hacked
Smuggler gets XP for slicing
· Temporary Defense ( No mission Specialist)
Go to Waypoint and install a defense (ie sit and wait)
Enemy NPCs will arrive from an unknown direction
· Complex Defense (architect\scout or ranger)
The squad leader is given a minefield and mines, small turret and a covert detector. (all or just one piece each or possibly must acquire them form faction recruiter)
The group must install the defensive structures at a given waypoint
A camp must be set up and maintained for 30 minutes.

This sounds great.
I would suggest that the defense missions be setup as battlefields.
Thus passers by could join in the carnage.
Sorry about the confusion. I should have prefaced my idea better.
Basically, my idea is just new missions. The terminal idea has been suggested bunch of times and I know there is some GCW content that involves 5 professions to hit a base.
I just took the two ideas and simplified it.
I figure game play would go something like this.
Joe Smuggler yells/ Looking for Master SL so I can slice an Imperial StaffSergeantCamp. I am so tired of locked containers.
Staffsergeant RebKiller shouts/ forming Combat patrol. everyone welcome. take 2 destroy missions N. payoff is 20,000
Argus /tells Hey Doc you wanna come with us and free a Rebel MASH unit. It's a big payoff in DOC Xps and an excuse to leave the clinic.
From my experience PvP is mainly a riot that roams an enemy city, taking down stragglers or it is Commandoes ambushing lone players.
I ain't bashing those players. Thats part of a war too and if it's fun for you so be it. But I would like to lead a mission that was more than hunting and furthered the GCW.

Sounds like came up with a few more details tho. I'm all for the idea.
The simple version is just this: Have a SL in your group to unlock high level missions with High payouts.

I think this would be an INCREDIBLE addition to the WHOLE GAME. This should be brought up in many other forums, not just ours.
Re-post this in the GCW post, SWG post, etc.
This would be brilliant. But because it IS so intricate, it will probably take a long time to come to fruition.
I'm willing to wait, how about you?
