Since squad leader has little skills, I thought I'd provide some thoughts on how to role play squad leader. I get a blast out of role playing squad leader, and I think people who group with you appreciate it as well.

I prefer to run faction missions because it leads to better roleplaying ability. (e.g. why would a squad leader be concerned about hunting animals?) I think more of the content of the game needs to be humanoid based:

(1) Military courtesies. Whenever someone joins your team, you should salute them and greet them into the unit. Likewise, when they leave you should salute them as well.

(2) Establish standard SOPs:

LOL on the whole standard/standard line...

I personally only salute those members of my squad who outrank me. If I don't know their rank, then I don't need to salute. Additionally, out of necessity, my squad isn't always always comprised of military personnel either (so they *become* militia while under my command, but that's just a designation), so I don't expect salutes either way there.

Roleplay while going after creature lairs? Of course! Just because I'm of a military bent, it doesn't mean I'm actively militaryandnothing prevents me from exercising my authority in a more mercenary (creature elimination brings Alien, Predator, and other movies to mind) manner while missions are slow to come down from theAlliance chain of command.
