Hmm. i am MSL/MCarb... does that make me Grunt Leader?
If I wanted to be a grunt I would have been a carbineer.

Not really sure why all the negativity is pouring here, unless it is a joke..
Be happy, you and the commandos finally got some lovin. The devs recognized you and said "oh yeah, there were two professions we have ignored for a long time."
And now you are a valid combat profession.
Being a squad leader doesnt mean you automatically get the respect of your troops, have the right to lead a squad, or by any means have the competence to lead a squad. I have been leading squads in this game for PvP purposes for the better part of a year and a half, without squad leader. I have picked it up now, purely for the reason that there can be some pretty badass templates cooked up with the skill treenow, and additionally, a squad is purely that much more powerful with an experienced LEADER at the spearhead (let alone the squadleader special abilities).
Cheerleader, Doctor, Tishamingobuffmachine, whatever you wish to call the profession does not own up to what the profession IS, because this profession is one of the only professions defined by the person playing it.
"Allthe trainingin the world won't make you half near af[edit]g decent leader if you haven't a clue how to follow."
-Anyone who has ever been to an Officer Candidate School will understand this.
