Thread: The mythical Red named posters aka devs
I'm gonna say one final thing here, then I'm probably going to walk away from this forum forever.
For a long time I've supported the attempts of 3 professions to get overhauled by the devs, Smuggler, Squad Leader, and Ranger. The whole reason for this is because all 3 have been in the worst shape for the longest amount of time. I continually watched as SOE/LA just didn't get what the actual meaning of these professions was, much less took the time to flesh them out.
I admit it's been a long time since I've posted about SL, but I've posted less and less these days anyway. To this day I wish SL was something that would be worth playing for multiple reasons. First and foremost, if you ask any of the people I play with, they'd tell you that actually having good tools as an SL would benefit me since that's the role I fill. Secondly because I've had that role in real life. I used that knowledge to post all kinds of things I thought SL should be about so long ago when both our professions were supposed to get revamps.
I came here to see what was said. When someone decided to compare the 2, I decided to stick up for my profession. You see, I never talk about anyone of those 3 being better than the other, I always talk about how we're all screwed, be it communication or development. Now I guess someone thought I sounded like I was talking about the plight of the Smugglers so I clarified my position about the communication we get. Still people took offense. Although I admire the attempts to go to bat for one of your members, you all did the one thing you really should never do, and that's alienate someone that is supportive of you.
Just to clarify things one last time before I leave since none of us are worthy of you all.
1. You brought up Smuggler, I didn't.
2. You compared us first, not me.
3. Before you start defending someone, you should probably make sure you're defending a sound argument. You don't want Smugglers to come here and post, you really shouldn't post about them.
And with that, I bid you all farewell... well most of you anyway.

They dropped it, you should as well.
Not giving orders or trying to start anything but it's done, they finished they came out and shaked each others hand. It's done it's over.

At this point I don't give a nuna's flip what you think. You got issues and you just want to troll our board and whine about how you got it worse. Sorry, all out of tissues here.

otoh I disagree that Han was ever a "master smuggler"
- never saw him make drugs
- never saw him succeed at a fast talk
otoh I did see him jury rig a ship and use a nasty pistol special
