After speaking my mind numerous times on the first two pages of this thread, I was hoping to let it die, but I wanted to reply to your last message.
I agree with you that Squad Leaders should not be penalized for grouping with faction/droid/creature pets. I think that because of the inefficient manner in which we're forced to gain SL exp, allowing us to progress through our skill trees when a PC-group is not available only makes sense, so in plain English: I think Squad Leaders should get SL exp when grouped with pets.
However, it has been my stance all along and will continue to be, that the profession should not be granted additional abilities based on grouping with NPC's. Several people have suggested special NPC abilities or increased limits on NPC pets for the Squad Leader profession, and I strongly disagree with this change to our class.
