Thread: Here is some fun I had while trying the new SL buffs!
You can use the same skills in return! Good greif. Do people just forget how to play this game when they go on a nerf rampage? Admittedly, there are issues that need to be fixed....perhaps a better solution is to prevent it from having the dmg bonus on sniper and LD. Both specials that were over the top to begin with.

Hey KJFett3, any other moves we should be aware of that are exceptions to the arguement being proposed? We have advanced sniper shot down, Last Ditch down, any more?
...oh wait a second, thosemoves canall be used against me, so maybe I do care that I'm getting hit for 2.6k after armor.......

Sir, its not that getting hit for that much is balanced in our minds, its that we're getting sick of people posting this and continuing on the same path. We've got pages and pages in the last week of flame wars between Jedi and BHs, two professions who never have looked at our prof twice before.
We know this issue, we've known about it for a long time. We've posted our concerns, there are stickies and focus threads about these concerns, we've got threads on ways to balance this skill WITHOUT nerfing it, and we've got threads on making our Leadership mods drive more of our abilities so a single line dabbler can not use the buffs at full strength... and yet it went Live as it was on TC.
The thread you have created, as you have seen, serves no purpose. All it does is act as a focal point for people to scream NERF SL or NERF THIS or NERF THAT. It breeds flames and arguements, when we need constructive discussion on how to balance our profession, not nerf it back to near worthlessness. Right now, outside of that one-shot wonder of sniper shot or last ditch or whatever, called shot adds 5% DPS. To me, its not even worth using thanks to nerfing it based on the combo of called shot / sniper or last ditch.
Thank you for adding one more flame thread to the fire, now if you have anything constructive to add on how to make this skill balanced and useful without nerfing it, feel free to browse our stickies.
I just did this... same as before, but the guy was level 80, and had high energy resist armor....

You have 2 SLs there, correct? Volley Fire, Blaze of Glory, and High Yield - no Called Shot? What was the Attack used?
Could you doa couple moretests with your crew now?
Test 1: Same Attack, but no SL buffs on attacker or defender.
Test 2: Same Attack, but no SL buffs on attacker or defender, using Called Shot (IF it was used in the above screenshot)
Test 3: Same Attack, no SL buffs on the Attacker. Tactics, Call to Arms, and Toughen on the Defender. Same Attack, and Called Shot (again, only if it was used in the above screenshot)

Yes, we did have 2 SLs, and we did use called shot.
Like I said, the test was similar, but I noted the changes. So, we did use Low blow, called shot. Sorry, if I caused some confusion. I'll try to do a few more tests now.
ok, I did all the test loki, and the test person had an armor rating of about 5500 energy. We couldn't use the defensive bonus one, as we did not have 2 SLs, so I used both armor increasing ones.
1- about 3400
2- about 7100
3 about 7100

That pre-armor soak or after? Thanks man!

Now admittedly he just stood there and let me try it, but it was pretty effective. Dunno where this leaves us, but if this is "typical" damage from a combo like this, which isnt an unreasonable one, then we could see a lot of "comments" on this?

make sure to test with SL defences on the target as well
Ok, that is completely fubar. The defensive buffs did absolutely nothing at all. We know they had worked on TC, so at some point have have become broken.
