Heh pretty close to there already, we both have exp 4 and are up to hunting 2 no reason we wont make Novice CH by the end of this long weekend.

I think getting the ranged combat support line will take me the longest unless that speeds up, finally got something better than a cdef so that should help with taking on harder critters.

Good to have you!

That should be a very potent combintation on a Wookiee.

I have no idea about bowcasters... (I actually thought they were carbines, but I'm most likely wrong!)

I plan to be an SL/Carbineer on Eclipse. Have yet to establish a third profession choice, though. Too many choices!

By the way, Voltaris, it's good to see you still around supporting the squad leader profession. I remember seeing quite a few of your posts back in beta days.

Greetings, Volatris, and all the other aspiring SLs here.

I aim to become a SL myself on the Tarquinas server; a Zabrak by the name of Kentho Birne. Right now I'm looking at Master Marksman, At least the Scout Prereq's for SL, and Novice Medic Plus the First Aid tree in addition to the SL tree. If I find that I need more skill points or have some left over, I'll move 'em around a bit.

Just wanted to introduce myself, and thank you for your posts. I missed Beta...too young by a year...but followed the game actively for a year and a half pre-release...It's been worth the wait. If you're ever on Tarq while waiting for Naritus to come up, I'd be happy to go hunting with you.

Safe travels to you all, and here's hoping Vol's suggestions get implemented =)

I don't mind our class being overlooked. Less competition that way, and easier to rule in PVP

Ze'ev here...

As some might know, I am running an adventure travel buisness in the Starsider galaxy and am planning on using Squad Leader skills to lead expeditions and safaris for clients. I look forward to exploring not only the planets but the minutae of being a Squad Leader, and having this community of Squad Leaders will no doubt be extreemly beneficial in that task. I enjoyed reading your posts Vol, especially since they confirmed much of what I have been planning to do. As for my specializations, I am currently leaning toward:

Scout Master

Squad Leader Master

As much rifle expertise as I can stand. Yes, carbine is better for crowd control, but as a safari leader it just doesn't seem to make sense to be anything but a rifle expert.

A little pistol ability. A safari leader just isn't a safari leader w/o a sidearm.

Some Entertainment (musician). Gotta keep the clients entertained when camping.

Rudimentary Medic. A dead client is a non-paying client.

At one point I calculated all this out and I believe I can keep it all in my brain. Here's hoping it all works out. You can be sure that I'll be bugging the Squad Leader community for tips as things progress.

Nice to meet you all,

--Ze'ev

Ha! Very glad to have you aboard, Nochmal!

Back 8 or 9 months ago when I was considering playing a crafter, I had always planned to pay someone take me on a tour of the planets...

... well things changed and I'm playing the combatant side (simply because I don't see what a Master Architect with ten million credits is supposed to spend his money on... ).

I'm glad to see someone doing this tour/safari idea.

Your plan sounds great. I wish you great luck, and hope to hear back from you about your adventures!

Feel free to ask anything, anytime.

- Vol
