I understand and share your frustration with the total lack of communication and development attention for Squad Leaders. But I also want to add that you guys are doing some real fine work with that Wiki stuff. I think there is real value to channelling your energy in a direction where you can actually have a visible and positive impact on the profession - if not in the game, then at least for the betterment of the community. Please, keep it up.

Its not only Squad Leaders, its also the GCW, its the overall game, its everything.
Ive been a bit active during the time Auraboron was GCW correspondent (which I still miss as correspondent) and if you see in what state the game it is, i just can shake my head.

Especially working at the Wiki shows you how far away from a beta they are.

And when you look at how SOE currently is working at this game not having an overall concept at all its just frustrating.

Have a look at the GCW page at the Wiki, where I tried to write an introduction to the GCW. NOTHING is realy finished in this game.

They have only the minimun of everything incorporated but nothing fleshed out nothing is ready.
Yes we have guilds, but these guilds can do nothing. Yes you can send email, but thats all, no priorites, no folders, no cc's no bcc, I think we are lucky that you can attack WP to it but thats it.

I fight daily with the guild management or more with the lack of it, my main enemy being the email interface, the desolate friendlist and the rest of the game.

You have to have a vision where you want the game to be, and currently the total SOE SWG staff lacks this vision they just copy bullsh1t into it from either EQ2, SOEs pet project or WoW, since it seems to bring in money.
In fact ROtW is just a rip of WoW in SWG style.

Hell! they removed BF because it was FORCED INTERACTION.

EVERYTHING in this game originally was FORCED INTERACTION.

You were FORCED to buy an armor from an Armor smith, you were FORCED to buy weapons from an WS, you were FORCED TO GET HEALED by an doctor and FORCED to rest listening or watching to an entertainer.

With all this new loot crap from kashyyk they are destroying the unique player based and driven economy as well as the INTERACTION at all between the different profession ESPECIALLY NON COMBATS AND COMBATS.

SOE has NOT interest in ENHANCING SWG. They have NO interest in investing money time or dedication into it and here I blame the management.

Why?
Because even everything they invest (money time dedication) they have to share with LA.
So rather than making SWG a great game, they leave it "where it is" so both LA and SOE earn their fair share of money without putting to much (money effort time) into it, and everything what is good and nice they put into their pet project EQ2 where they earn 100% with everything they do.

here I go off again,

I better go ingame again and beat up some NPCs and think they are from the SOE SWG STAFF .....

On this topic, while not really touching the SL-stuff, i have a slightly different oppinion. You here.

Anyways, Scout, i wonder if my Friday-Spirit just is visiting you. I now have to return the advise, lay back, cool down a bit, things will look better again.
