I've never seen a stock E5 carbine with higher DPS than a stock E11 Carbine Mk 2. I can't speak for the Intimidator pistol.
The rifle, while a nice gesture, won't be used by anyone serious about doing damage. A SL/Rifleman already has a far superior weapon in the T-21. A SL/Carbineer would benefit from the 60m range, except he already has a DXR6 Carbine with 65m range, better damage, and higher speed/accuracy. A SL/Pistoleer would likewise find the range attractive, except she already has access to the Advanced Laser Rifle, which will have a DPS 100 points higher (at least) and an even longer range.
So no one is going to get much out of the rifle, which is too bad. Of course, that goes for nearly all the ROTW loot weapons. With the exception of the Proton Carbine, every weapon I've received is going on my wall at home. DC15 Rifle, DC15 Carbine, KDY Pistol, Alliance Needler Carbine, this... all neat weapons, but just for looks. *shrug*

Speaking of SL weapons from RoTW I was given a nice one today from the quest series from the rodians in the hunting grounds, I was given it for completing the first of the wagers for Sordaan.

ive had it for 2 days... i havent used it yet though. my modded dps is like 430 with it, which is better than my intimidator. i wonder if it leaves a fire dot?
