I go MSL/MCarbineer/medic 4-2-X-X

/boostmorale with a surgical droid (110med rate) and Injurytreatment 4 works great for any melee type, you don't just need a TKM. ALthough them medittating the wounds away is faster , it's not interly necessary.

and what, exactly, do you do about the mind wounds?

Boost morale really sucks in my opinion.....you take a LOT of damage from one guy, and turn that itno a bunch of tiny wounds on a bunch of people.....it makes it MUCH harder to heal them. I would much rathe rhave sum1 with 900 wounds get healed in 2 heals by a doctor, than give 100 wounds to 9 peopel which now have to be healed seperately.

Plus you cant do jack about mind wounds.

The qoute , and response was an attempt to belittle...

Infact i said in the original post , that haveing a TKM meditate wounds away is better, just not necessary

its cool

i am admittedly one of the more aggressive and least patient posters around anymore. Part of it coems fromt he serve ri play on and the attitudes I put up with there (trust me after near 15months of "im so uber l337" attitudes youl have less patience too). Part of it coems from me having played since beta and watched one SOE **edit** up after another........and still paying, for god knows what reason, to play this game.......hoping beyond reasont hat JTL will eb th eshining gem i hope it is. Part of it is the fact that 25% of the community doesnt even know what an SL is.....and some of it coems fromt he fact 80% could care less fi we were even here.....i even have peopel in my own guild who dont give me enough credit for taking up SP's for this proff to help THEM out lol.

My response was a bit edgy. *shrug*

I think the BIGGEST reason i dont use boost morale is simply because when i do use it......peopel complain as much as when i used rally. id otn use either of them anymore cause of it. Heh, i once even got bished out by a guy becaus ehe said my Boost morale transferred one players disease to him (he was fighting a mantigrue reaper [ or screecher..if orget, whichever gives the nasty disease]) lol

i just gave up using it...seemed to caus emor eproblems than it helped.

When my guild had a MSL Mfencer went real well with it, plus a bit of medic. He didn't go after anyone though, just used fencer for the defenses, and if someone came close he'd whap him a couple of times.

I pay on Gorath, and i've been suprised. I've had several times were strangers came up and asiked if i would lead them through DWB , or a corvette ride.

But on the other hand i've also had alot of people ask me wot our classe is.

Most of the SL's I work with on a weekly basis are carbineers. They can support the main attack with area effects, and its especially helpful when a skilled (and this profession REQURIES skilled players) SL knows what/when/and where to use the abilities.

Hats off to those of you who stick with it.

I'm currently a MBH/MSL and it works out okay, you have to realize that no matter what other profession you take since you have the skills locked up in MSL you are going to have to play it smart, and not be the one up front being the badass warrior. Your job is to make sure everybody else can do their jobs. If I were looking for a good combo, I'd say MSL master Carbineer would be good just because carbines are primarily designed as a weapon class to have AoE and do status changes. Enemies aren't very effective on their back. So stay 45m back from the fray, cycle to the targets applying Dizzies and knockdowns and make sure your boys and girls have fun beating the crap outta them.

Is SL still good if you partner it with a melee profession like Swordsman? I am a swordsman and like it a lot and don't want to give it up, but I think SL might help my guild members during combat. Is it possible to do this and have it come out well in the end?
