Well said cymreig!
That's the same reason I stick to my carb - sl - all mixed up char template
It suits my RPG character most.
Star Wars feeling means running around with a blaster, pistol, rifel or carb shooting Stormies ... eh ... evil loonies ... those guys in white .. you know what I mean =)
... and getting back to the main topic
I currently play a MM - Scout 4004 - SL 3444 - BH 0400 - Medic 2202- Carb 00010
which still needs some tweaking.
There are some skillpoints left, and I going for the MSL badge, just to have had it, I don't know how long I'm going to keep that many skill points into MSL, since in PvP this template to ... eh .. underpowered, but I PvE most of the time anyway =).
If you're looking for a strong char, follow the advices of the previous posts.
I like my char this way, hunting party realy love me with the defense bonus and rally and with my heals I can help out the medic if it gets rough.
I like to be independed of buying Stimpack (B's did well for sometime) but I might switch to go for pharmacy 4 and buy them to save some skillpoints.
I think currently my goal is to get the MSL badge, get called "Sir!" by some of my friends and then dropp it for some more Carb skills, mainly
Counterinsurgence Tactics and Carb Marksmanship, cause the most important thing is to hit your opponent.
Something like
MM - Scout 4004 - SL 0044 - BH 0400 - Medic 3330- Carb 0440
in the end, have fun with whatever you do ..

Hey guys, i've been playing Carbineer for a while now, and its the most fun profession in combat to play with - coupled with the specials / speed and acc. u also get from BH Carbines, i love it! I care little for the power behind swordsman / rifleman...
I've been considering what else to put along side it (Currently Doc), as I fancy a change (after spending a while with JTL getting master, and playing various other things)
Thus, I've considered Squad Leader as a great mix with Carbineer as the ability to be a excellent support class..
1 thing that is bothering me is the lack of any healing in the Carbs / SL template, thus Ive also considered Combat Medic and / or a mix of doc / cm
However, I have a few questions on my mind for SL...
at the mo, I've asked a question on the Carbs board that hasnt had much response, however someone suggested that I could go SL 3044 and still be effective as Steady Aim and Volley fire arent that important - doing this would allow me to get up to 0400 BH + Master Carbineer keeping the BH specails, however, not having any experience in SL, Im not sure!
Is master SL / master Carbineer the way to go? or isnt it? I know both profs are greatly under-rated, and with the combat rebalance due over the horrizon, Im sure Swords / Rifleman are gonna be crying...
Any help would be much appricated!
Ive had this setup for over three months. You will have a hard time in duels, but you are a groups best friend. Id like to post more but i still have to finnish a project for work/school and its already 1am.
