If +10 is gonna make the difference by quite abit with only +5's every now and then. Im a Zabrak and i would have a feeliing as that i would be nothing like as good just because of the spikes on my head. Its not that ibegrudge Humans having this bonus, but i just feel it shouldn't be as significant to make any other species 2nd grade leaders.

currently it seems that the "race bonuses" are something the devs are starting to steer clear of. especially since they took it away, which was a good idea. i don't see them bringing in any new "race limitations"

My recommendation would be to follow the scaling for Called Shot. The Novice box has no bonus (default power), the 1st and 2nd tier boxes have a +5 bonus, the 3rd tier boxes have a +10 bonus, the 4th tier has a +15 bonus each, and Master has +35. That would be 175 points total, 185 for humans, at Master. A single line dabbler (say 0400 for example) would 35 points, 45 if human. That's not too unbalancing, is it?

Better yet, rename the called shot bonus Leadership, set it to drive all the SL abilities not just Called shot, and let the Human bonus apply to it.

I think thats an excellent idea as i've always wanted to see the leadership skill mod used. This would give the humans a nice little perk and certainly limit the dabblers. We need to get dev attention on this asap. It would be very rare to see 8 master sls. I still believe that one needs to lead in order to unlock the "leadership" abilities.

If that's the best you have to offer after still haveing to edit your message then good luck in the future. Anyway, I've also been concerned ofhow the rippling of our revamp will effect future changes of other professions, namely ranger, smuggler, and commando. Also, selfishly I'l also miss the passive mods, especialy group terrain negotiation. I have to agree with Obsidion that at the least, place it with rangers, I actualy can't recall a time where I've had a full Ranger in my group and it would give me a reason to seek one out. Or, at the very least, putitin the master SL box.

I think its a great idea to spread out ALL skill mod's like this. Grant basic skills in Novice or first boxes, then increase the multiplier... ala Medic healing Efficiency.

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

You all better take care, we realy have ppl around who dont posten often here (Or post at all, Post count total of him her is 46) but fully understand our concerns.

Heheh.

Not that I blame you, being that SL does seem to be a bit of a boys' club. ;-) But anyway, thank you for the overwhelming support thus far.

I don't post very much, but I do watch quite a bit. Squad Leader was alsothe first profession I mastered, and regardless of what happens it will be in the template until the game goes under. Hence, where the majority of the experience that I reflect uponcomes from.

As for those worried about the suggestion giving an overpowering modification to humans, yes, I agree that it should be tailored so that any advantage is "noticeable" but also "negligible." Personally, I wouldn't care if they just removed the racial modifier entirely ... I just mentioned it being a racial modifier at this point to substantiate its existence.

If balanced properly in the interests of fairness, I do think that this could be a workable solution. I still can't think of any actual problems with it.

And for the one who commented on all of us "whining" about Dabblers, it's not that we are "whining" that "some people Dabble in our profession." The problem is that there are noticeable incentives to master most other combat professions. I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who is not at least the master of one elite combat profession, however the vast majority of Squad Leaders have all been dabblers. That is not to say we want to "punish" them or discourage them from focusing upon our profession -- they are still Squad Leaders in our eyes. We simply want the system changed so that Squad Leader is not comprised solely of a handful of "old, stubborn war vets" and a vast army of nothing but minute dabblers.

Hope that clarifies.
