I did a duel against a FOTM template... (MCM/MBH) and beat him... he criedI had rifles and he used a carbine.

For whatever reasons, i up to now lost not a single duel against a bounty hunter. These guys just see "Squad Leader" conclude "easy target" and make shameful mistakes...

liakyk, sylow, you are exactly right. as a SL we can best someone that makes profound tactical mistakes when they see the Master Squad Leader tag and think 'easy kill'. after one duel i had a guy ask me what that red orb thingy was and why it kicked .his butt so hard. he wanted to know how i did that and if he could do it too (guess he thought it was a food buff or something)

but against any PvPer that doesnt make those mistakes, PvPers that pay attention and treat even a Master Marksman as a potential threat will mop the floor with us. its just a fact of life that in one-on-one duels SL is at a disadvantage from the start. that does not make us weak though. single person duels is not our forte....group PvP action is where we shine and win the day withVictory and Glory fighting on thebattlefied along side of us.

Its fun cause now the guy hunts Jedi and does other stupid crap, dont think he is good in PvP. I have also found a way make it so someone low on HP cant heal using my template (Strafe and Charge Shot ftw!!!)

That is so true! dueling = bad idea, group pvp = SLs rule the roost

Since Jedi tend to attack other Jedi first Im not a priority target (only other SL tend to target SL first).

Please tell me what that is like. I'm almost always the first target of jedi when I PVP to the point they'll ignore jedi on my side if they can. Makes me wonder how much of a rep I have among the rebel jedi......though fighting reb MBH is fun. Good jedi killers don't always make good PVP'ers

I havent pvp'd with my SL yet but in pvp my melee toon is completely ignored by jedi, to me it seems they always go for other jedi first. so i run around and AB and KD them and leave them for my grouped jedi to deal with.

Maybe i should leave my msmug tag up instead of msl, thats even more likely to be ignored.

Important hints on tags:

When fighting around bases, don't use a tag which indicates that you are able to bust bases. The enemy knows very well that there are not too many of those in the field, so they are primary targets. (The only exception is BHs, as they come cheaper in the dozen. Nobody will focus attack on them as they are easily replaceable within about any team which is busting bases.)

Edit:
While this is true for titles like MSL or MSmuggler, feel free to use other profession specific titles. Field Commander seems unknown enough for the people that they don't pick me, for Smuggler the titles "Fixer" or "Fence" should be without trouble... (Slicer on the other hand is a very bad idea i guess... *grin*)

Only problem with that Sylow is that now most teams have only one base cracker and he does every terminal. I know on Kettemoor there is one guy who can solo PvP bases without help. (He uses Feign Death ro dance his way through the base). So most the times you will most likely never see the guy, or know who to take out first if possible.

I am speaking of "regular" basebusting. I know those templates, i am even aware of two of them on my server. Anyways, i also am aware that at least one of them is known to the other side. (Time will tell on how things are going on, the biggest rebel guild on our server lately broke to pieces, so i can't say how they now defend...)

Bringing the known basebuster template into battle was just a call for the enemy to all shoot at the one target. This of course requires them to have good information on the attackers, which is not always true. (There can always be a quickly assembled new basebuster char which nobody knows.)

Anyways, my advise is not on these guys, i am speaking about the true and regular basebusters. (Although i also guess, a few of us made some reputation by now...)
