I think sometimes people just like coming here and kickin us while we're down.

Although, after a week in the CU, I don't think we're quite as down as we used to be. Maybe just kneeling, instead of prone.

I guess your right about the Squad Leader needing ranged support, but I just cant remember from TC. I havent played in a week or two because the interent is down and I am using someone else computer so I can't really check to see. But none the less I don't think the SL should have any weapon certs that good. I will admit that the E5 Carbine is not the best, I mean it is decent but I have seen much better. The Intimidator pistol, I have always seen good, I have always seen it 900+ on my server. The DawnSarrow rifle is good too, my friend has one that is 1000+ damage. On my server the Squad Leader weapons are even rarer then the Squad Leaders themselves and if you see a Squad Leader doesnt mean that they even have the weapns. That Flare Pistol varrient, I have also seen with some high stats.

And before what do you mean should I be aguring with someone like Darth? I have been playing galaxies from the begining and I just only recently joined the swg boards. Just because someone has been on the boards longer than me doesnt mean anything. Someone could join the boards today and know more about SWG then all of us.

Squad Leader is mainly a deffensive prof. I think what they did to it is alot better. And overall a good combat prof

No they are correct. To reach novice Squad Leader all you need is Survival IV. You do not need any marksman skills. Pre-CU you need Ranged Support IV, Survival IV and Explpration IV I believe but Post-CU all that is required for Squad Leader is Survival IV.

Nope. You are mistaken, as is Kodan's character builder. Next time you are in the game, check it on the skill screen [CTRL+S]. You are correctthat the Exploration IV pre-requisite was removed, but Novice Squad Leader still requires Ranged Support IV and Survival IV.

Yeraze I competely agree with you. I mean the only real reason I am against the Squad Leader to have theseweapon certs that they have, (E5 Carbine, Intimidator Pistol, DawnSarrow Rifle, T. Pistol (Bounty Hunter Flare Pistol varient) ) is because they have all these nice weapons but they have no use for them. And if they are going to contine to have no use for them, then give them to another profession such as Bounty Hunter or Commando. I want to see Squad Leader enchanced, I think they should have more ranged accuacry and other defenses and mods such as pistol, rifle, and carbine speed and defense. They lso need their own abilities to make them a good profession.

Well, I hardly think we're overwhelming the other profressions through our weapons certs. We've asked for a SL weapon for quite some time now, and we were blessed to receive one for each major ranged combat type (rifles, carbines, and pistols). So we got 2 pistols, big deal, Pistols seem to be the focus nowadays anyway with our Pistol XP requirement, so an extra is somewhat understood.

There's still a whole lot of other weapons I can't use due to the Pistoleer, Carbineer, Rifleman requirements (I'm a carbineer, not enough SP to master a 3rd elite prof), or the BH, Commando, etc requirements. Every profession has their own special weapons. It's only fair that ours are a little better than a standard Rifleman's (or Pistoleer's or Carbineer's) due to our extra skill point cost in the Scout trees.

Squad Leader ranged is good, SL pared with a ton of stuff is good, or it has worked out well for me so far, most of it melee.

Swordsman works incredibly well, I can damage well, use a ranged weapon, a melee weapon, and help my team blow up bases, along with give them a good few combat bonuses, sounds good to me

I think the ranged weapon mods are appropriate only because an SL really needs to stay back and shoot, of course, I don't followwhats been set forth

Nothing like a little drive-by leadership.

Hope all is well.

Well Crimson, I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, even if none of us agree with it.

But if having not 1 single ranged special attack maneuver offsets our ability to use a few very nice weapons (Intimidator, E5 Carbine, DawnSorrow rifle), then I figure it's all even. In fact, I think we deserve more: more specials, more weapons, more abilities. For a class as instrumental in a "group focused" game as Squad Leader, it's a shame that we have just 4 weapon certs and 5 abilities to our name.

HE'S BACK!!!

So Irott, what can you tell us about the SL Revamp? Everything coming from SOE seems to indicate the other revamps are active but SL is completely off the board.

Please please give us SOME news...
