Thread: Mon Calamari and Pvp
I used to use a Scout blaster, but changed to the FWG for significantly more damage. It is experimented down to 2.4 speed, too, I believe. I will post more on my equipment later.
Jabba's quests are a blast to do if you're the criminal junkie type! Just bring a friend if you have low weaponskill. ![]()
1050 health
Decent sized health pool, this is actually mainly because of PVE, as most stuff damages here.
650 strength
Less health drain on my specials, this is as low as I can take this stat as a wookiee, i'd take it lower for more Quickness if I could.
550 constitution
Maxxed out for wookiee, all regen stats are very important for pvp
100 action
Trying to find a way to spread more points to this, as most TKA skills drain from this pool.
550 quickness
Maxxed out for wookiee, less action drain on my moves.
500 stamina
maxxed out for a wookiee, all regen stats are very important for pvp.
900 mind
In pvp anything less than 700 mind will get you killed more often, end of story
500 focus
i'd like a little less mind drain on SL moves, but the failure rate is so high right now that I rarely use them anyhow.
400 willpower
No real need for mind regen in my opinion, if you are taking mind targeted shots, how fast you regen here wont make up for the amount of damage mind hits do. So you are either going to die, or not, regening wont make the differnce when you are taking on average 400-600 point mind hits.
Although wookiees get a nice stat boost, this is a rough idea of what most brawlers in my opinion should look like in pvp. If I wasn't so far into my skills, I would reroll my char as a bothan personally
The key to PvP is to have a balanced amount of points for your HAM pools. A common mistake is to leave one significantly behind the other (and this pool is nine times out of ten, the mind pool) which leads to easy pickings in PvP.
As an opponent, if I notice that any one of your pools is lower than the other I will use the weapon and specials necessary to deplete the smaller pool. This is more difficult to accomplish in large scale PvP, but if your main form of player combat lies in duels; then it is a necessity to have balanced pools.
Shooting for at least 800 in each pool is a good start, and if they are all equal in number; for example your Health, Action and Mind pools all number 900; then your opponent will not be able to take advantage of any HAM weakness you posses.
Another interesting observation I have noted in PvP, is that you cannot tell how many points your opponent has in their HAM pool by simplytargetting them. An example is that a wookie with a 1100 Healthpoint pooldoes not look larger than a wookie with a1000 Health point pool; because the HAM pool's length are based off in relation to eachother and not their associated points.
