Seems thatgroup Mind defense bonus plus group Mind regen bonus would definitely be necessary to reduce the need to heal Mind damage. Of course, this could be more imbalancing than just giving the SL super Mind healing capability. Riflemen would simply be ineffective against player groups unless their attack is boosted as well.






The reason I am in favor of reduced mind dammage is so the melee's can fight and still do some specials. This will not have much of an impact on the healers and the shooters unless they get attacked. They will benefit from a more modest mind regen that will enable them to recoup enough mind during a fight to at least be able to do another additional special attack or heal then they would without it, and to recover from a battle faster. I would like to have about as much regen as a mind bleed so it kind of evens itself out. Some boost in the mind pool would be great to.


I don't think the mind regen should to strong or, as you mentioned,it can be imballancing. Strong mental toughness and defense is the key I think.

Yes, we need something like this VERY badly. I frequently play with a Master Docter/Combat Medic because she wants to group with me for the terrain negotiation (she has 0) and I want her, well for the obvious reason because she excels at keeping the group alive.


When we hunt, she is so effective at keeping the health/action bars of everyone in the group from dropping that EVERYTIME someone gets incapped, it's from the mind pool! Taking out 3-4 difficult mobs can take some time, maybe a minute or two, during this time the medic is doing their job keeping the health/action bars up, but the mind bar steadily drops until the inevitable incap comes, and guess what, you get to sit on your ass for a minute or so until you get back up.Then you have to wait for a lil mind to regen before you start in to the fight again unless you want to lay on your ass again. Either that or you get slain then she has to waste a revive pack on you and you get to wait for grogginess to wear off before you get back in to the fight.


But you all know this... I'll stop typing now.

great idea! this would make a squad leader a guy who people want in their group for something very useful but not exploitable or overpowered. maybe just a doubled regen rate would be enough (but u know the devs dont like to do things in moderation so its nothing or its we become too uber and need to be nerfed) good idea tho
