From what i hear (didn't manage to log in yet, TC didn't like to let me log in yesterday till i had to go to bed) the profession still has some issues with doublebuffing from one SL, but that's definitely bugs and not intentional.
Now we just have to see the effects of this leadership modifer, if it's reasonable, my biggest concern of this complete revamp has been taken care of pretty well and the profession is effective but balanced.
The modifiers in total also sound fair enough to me, a human will end up with 135, any non-human will go with 125, this sounds like a small advantage for humans without being an unfair edge... so i don't need to get my beautiful horns cut off... *grin*
I hope the the currently described functionality of single buffs also is a bug (there are many indications that it is) and will be changed to a more effective setup and i still think that limiting a few things to one person in group (for simplicities sake, the groupleader) would make sense, but compared to balance they were secondary.
The doubling up it appeared was due to joining the group. When I joined the group, I believe my buff forgot that it belonged to me, so when I applied a new one the old one was still there. There was something I thought of but didn't get the chance to try last night, if someone who can get on today would like to try it here it is:
- Activate an SL buff
- Join a group, do NOT take group leader position. Does the group get your SL buff?
- Activate a second SL buff - how many buffs are active?
- Leave thegroup- How many SL buffs do you have, does the group you left still have buffs and how many / which ones?
- Activate a 3 SL buffs - how many and which ones do you have?
- Rejoin the group, do not take group leader position. Does the group get your SL buff? How many and which ones are active?
- Activate a 4th SL buff. Again, how many and which ones active on who.
I'm hoping my fear is unfounded, but after somehow having 4 buffs from 2 SLs I'm sure you see the horror I'm looking for. If the above works as I fear, it really needs to be changed. The only good thing is the above method would have to be repeated every 30 minutes, but in 30 minutes with all the offensive / defensive buffs a group could cause alot of devistation.
When I left the group, I only had my own SL buff active, and not the other SLs... but her buff might have expired, as she was playing with her Charge buff coupled with my Tactics (Tactics gives 150 Defense, Charge gives the activating SL -200 Defense... so with 2 SLs, the SL using Charge isn't hurt too bad). She was a MSL, and charge only lasted about 10 minutes with her +100 Mobility Duration rating. I think I'm going to work up the mobility tree next, to see what someone with just 50 Mobility Duration does (non-master, 4xxx).
We also need to get some hard-data testing on what Leadership is modifying. I'm wondering if they simply renamed the Called Shot skill mod to Leadership, but I hope they applied it to some more mods.
I do agree with having them here, so we can check and discuss them without cluttering the TC and bug threads, but I just wanted to remind you that the DEVs probaldy dont check here all the time and we cant just rely on

to make sure he forwards all our concerns to the DEVs (although it still is funny to poke him).
So discuss here, report there and in all case keep up the good work!

Yeah, as soon as I get some free time after work, I was going to consolodate all my ramblings into the Issuesthreads. Went here cause the Issues thread last night was more geared towards before this hit TC, and I was hoping the Devs would post a new SL-specific thread.
