Thread: 5,756 damage with a rifle using squad leader?
Last night's testing (all PvE):
Template: MSL, MCommando, 0400 Carbs (w/ 1 member in my group...very important to be grouped!!)
Improved Leg Shot vs. lvl 65 Lava Flea: 1594 damage
Volley Fire, ILS vs. lvl 65 Lava Flea: 1739 damage
Volley Fire, Called Shot, ILS vs. lvl 65 Lava Flea: 4121 damage
Solo
ILS vs. lvl 65 lava flea: 1594 damage
Volley Fire, ILS vs. lvl 65 lava flea: 1739 damage
Volley Fire, Called shot, ILS vs. lvl 65 lava flea: 2132 damage
Also tested on several 70+ single elite's....
ILS: 730-800ish
VF, ILS: 800-900ish
VF, CS, ILS: 1800-2300ish
Volley Fire, Paint Tgt, ILS vs. lvl 65 lava flea: 2000 damage
*Called shot has to be reapplied after each ILS....i.e. Called shot, ILS, Called Shot, ILS, Called shot....so each 4121 is after 2 attack rounds (2060 damger per round)
*Paint Target applies to every attack until that creature is dead....i.e. Paint Tgt, ILS, ILS, ILS....(2000 damage per round)
IMO, i see this as pretty balanced...meaning, the group with a SL(group leadership) has a better chance to win, than that of a group not lead by a SL....but, all this testing was done solo...so not sure the effects of spamming called shot in a group of rifleman...
Ok, we grabbed the Jedi from the above post and a MRifles/MSL. I buffed the rifle SL with all the offensive buffs (steady aim, volley fire, blaze of glory, and high yield)... 12807 damage before armor, 8159 after with advanced sniper shot and aim. Yikes... as soon as his 2 incaps pass alittle longer, we'll be repeating the test, but have added the two group defensive buffs to the Jedi.
Oh... we had a BH / MCM attack the Jedi, while he had the 3 group offensive buffs on, that was a very scary sight and a very short lived BH. ![]()

Next test, same as above except no high yield (for some reason I can't apply solo buffs any more) and the Jedi has Tactics and Call to Arms. 6767 damage before armor, 1993 after. Said Jedi has 5400 innate armor, so 44.8% soak, which means Call to Arms added almost 25.7% to his soak!!
/cheer for testing...loggin on as we speak if anyone want to use my poor noob toon self as target practice and/or help me to grind up my temp to be able to test.

not sure, but shouldn't you only be able to apply only a couple of those legally? (1 group buff and 1 individual?) Very scary numbers, wish i was there to see it
oh and you've gotta find a MDef Jedi or TKM to try out dropping all the defensive buffs out on...MDef+Def buffs+Def specials+AI when needed=tank

Legally, I should only be able to apply High Yield and one of the yellow ones by myself, but as has been reported group buffs don't properly drop from anyone except the SL who applied them.
On the 2nd test (where the Jedi had the armor buffs), I'm still trying to wrap my head around the huge bonus he had, especially considering the attacker had all the yellow buffs... something just doesn't work out, unless the Defender'sCall to Arms overrides the Attacker's Volley Fire similar to how a snare will override a speed buff?
Another note, I still can't apply a solo buff since that first test. No clue why, no message or anything, it just clicks. I've disbanded from group and been re-invited, nothing. My toon must be bugged, because none of the other SLs I'm around are having that problem. O.o
Good lol, just wanted to make sure that was clear in case someone comes in here, sees that, and then goes back and complains that someone got over 12k damage...without knowing the truth.
I'd say the solo buff thing is probably your character being bugged. Have you tried logging off (completely shutting down swg) and then logging back in? i've found that that sometimes fixes the problems.
