I thought commissar sounded cool, until ...

commissar - [n] an official of the Communist Party who was assigned to teach party principals to a military unit.

As for the strategist, fieldcommander... excuse me... i work for a living.

I guess that makes me a tactician.

I think special ranks for squad leaders in factions would be cool as well. On a side note, I know that the rebels are a conglomeration of different security forces from different planets, but should we be able to buy uniforms with our faction points? Ora BE clothing (e.g. military insignia) or armor layers (e.g. com link) that improved leadership skills?

Definitely Field Commander. No other title in the game says "This man is running the show, his is the word of God to you, soldier" like Field Commander.

Field Commander - Gives me the most authority
Strategist - Some people don't know what this means. That disturbed me.
Commisar - As much as I would like to be a Comissar, that's something only rebels would do
Tactician - Gives me the most sarcasm, but also makes people ask me what to do because they think I'm smart with this title.

Field Commander + Tactician.

Field Commander is the most widely used one I've seen. Tactician was my first title and my favorite then.

Now I stick with Field Commander. *shrug* Mood swings?
