Thread: SQL + BH? Can someone explain please...

Can someone explain to me the whole thing about SQL + BH and why would it offer any advantage in taking out Jedi targets.

I thought SQL is about boosting a whole group of characters, while Bounty Hunting is meant tobe a solo deal.

Have I missed something, and how is this possible?

For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

By alternating Called Shot with a high damage special to create an alpha attack.

Not sure what all the fuss is about as a squad leader can't buff himself only others. It's just a knee jerk reaction from a small part of the Jedi community that thinks anything that is beneficial to another profession is de facto a nerf against them.

Wrong information. Group buffs can very well be appied to the SL by himself. By taking any pet or droid into group, the SL also is able to use Called Shot or Paint Target for his very own needs.

The very only thing the SL can't put on himself are indivudual buffs. That drop him from slightly over +200% damage to a little bit under +200% damage. Not that big deal, in my eyes.

Called shot can be used by just grouping with a pet, if you check here you will see an MSL's Called Shot is 155% damage boost. Alternate that, and all of your attacks are that powerful, you just cut your attack speed. To some extent, an SL/BH can buff himselfusing Called Shot and one group buff.

If a BH is willing to hire SLs to join him, and buff him before the attack, some very serious damages can be produced, but so can some just as serious defenses.

So basicly the SQL tells her droid "Let's shoot the target now", and voila, she do 155% damage?

I am MSL and a few boxes from MBH...decided to go this way with my alt. I played both with my main before I unlocked my Jedi. I just think it is a fun temp. I will probably not hunt an Jedi (not my kind of thrill). I did it for the loot and for general PvP play. Both professions offer enough General Ranged Speed and Accuracy that I can use alot of weapons (and I just happen to like the Intimidator Pistol...mine is better than any HC Scatter I have found for a reasonable price).

The bad thing about hunting Jedi with this temp is that you are limited to Assault armor. Even with a PSG you are going to take alot more damage from a LS than you would otherwise. ADD the fact that this temp does not allow for much healing, you are going to need to be real sneaky and really good to nail a Jedi with any sense of "uberness" behind your attack. BUT, it would be a fun fight.

Nope... it's +155%, which also reads as 255% of standard damage.

Yeah, pretty much sums it up.

Called Shot increases the damage of the next attack against the target. I'm not sure if its supposed to be just the single next attack or everyone's in the group next attack (so in this instance, the MSL's next and the droid's next). It also creates the same glowing red orb as (in-live) Volley Fire and Paint Target (revamp replacement name for Volley Fire) that lasts for about 20 seconds. No damage increase for those 20 seconds, just the animation.

Called Shot has a very shot cooldown, by the time you're fired your next shot it has recharged. The combo of short cooldown and high damage mod is the problem, one or both should be tweaked.
