Thread: I feel so sorry for you guys....
We will see. In my eyes, groupbuffs still need get leadership modifiers worked into them, then the most pressing balance issues are covered.
We still need to go through all of them yet to check if some got stronger or weaker, for sure some are reported to be broken, so we soon should confirm the status of all of them now.
With that done, my actual corrent concerns (after fixing the icons, which is said to happen with the hotfix today) is the spam issue. During all previous testing, i considered it a minor point, but by now i feel that shouting the message for Paint Target or Called Shot twice a minute is just annoying.
So, if Devs manage to stay cool, don't listen to the whiners and just look at how the SL actually performs, i assume that our activities during TC testing and getting skill modifiers implemented in the profession might warrant us some savety from too painful nerfing and allow the profession to stay in a working state.
- currently we have one spam message every 30 seconds. Allow each SL to adjust the variable for this delay between 30 seconds and 60 minutes. With one message per hour, i guess we'll be fine.

- Put a check in the routine displaying the spam messages. If the text in the message is "off" (it can also be"none" or any other text with appropriate meaning, decission of the Devs), the appropriate message will not be displayed. This way the SL can configure for which abilities he wants his spam to appear and which he prefers to be executed silently.
What would you think about either of them?

I personally would suggest two different approachs:

What if they put the 'shouts' in the group chat window? That way you dont have shouting spatial all over the place? *shrug* just tossing out silly ideas here.

Then i have the spam where i currently coordinate my group. Spatial i can at least ignore up to some degree, group i can't. Not good.

Would the spatials be able to use variables like %TT i would at least see some use for them, but for the current babbling i see no real use.Message Edited by Sylow on 10-20-2005 03:30 PM
Yeah, you should get some more customiablity in your phrases as to when they go off and where.
Wouldnt it be nice if you could get them to come up in there own sepearate chat from spatial/system, and you could enable that chat tab/channel seperately.

Logged my SL yesterday, and lo and behold ... HE ROCKED!! This is so getting nerfed. If not for any reason other than the fact that the prof just works now.
I feel sorry for SL too, you were waiting so long for some balance, and now you got something that unfortunatelly needs massive nerfing, since it totally imbalances the game.
I managed to change them all. Commands are:
/setsteadyaim
/setcalltoarms
/setvolleyfire
/settactics
/setblazeofglory
/setdoubletime
/setboostmorale
/setformup
/setretreat
/setcharge
/settoughen
/sethighyield
/setverbalassault
/setcombatfeint
/setcalledshot
/setpainttarget
/setsecondchance
Enjoy. ![]()
