I did some testing on what we got now, and i will do some more testing when the thing hits live.
You'll have to wait till then before i write something to be contributed to any FAQ, the information we currently have is still subject to change (*) and i think that making an FAQ on this base is not a good move yet.
(*): And in case it is not yet, it very much should... otherwhise it very much will be after pushing it to live.

Group Buffs (8 of them) = 30 Minute Effect or until another group buffis called to cancle out prior group buff. All group buffs are on the same 10 sec downtime.

Everyone keeps talking about called shot. I searched through my attacks and that nice Prof Calc, did not see anything about a called shot. Is this one of the abilities coming from our long awaited Pub 24?

Are these passive buffs, like I just select Steady Aim and its applied until I select Volley Fire or Form Up? Will my group buffs be wiped out once I select say Paint Target? If that is the case, not sure I am totally onboard with the new changes.
Right now, I have to be leader and everyone gets melee def, ranged def, better terrain neg,melee acc, range acc,and run eff, just for me being leader w/o applying buffs. Can apply things on top of this like Rally, Retreat, Volley Fire etc. If I read the notes right, I can only choose one of these to apply to the group. Need more SL to get the others.

When grouped, you can:
- have one group buff active all the time (lasts for 30 minutes, can be replaced by another one at any time, which then again lasts for 30 minutes)
- have one single buff on a group member (but not yourself)
- use your abilities like Called Shot or Paint Target
A few of the abilities currently can't be used when not grouped, otherwhise these are the only limits.

There are no passives any more in the future. You want to have terrain negotioation for the group? Use the formup group buff. You want higher defence? Use the tactics group buff. But be aware, it will replace the formup, so the terrain negotiatoin gets lost.
These buffs, according to last reports of TC-2, also had a range limitation of 100 meters. (On the TC-1 version, which didn't receive the last patch of SL, the buffs were not removed properly, thus we also were unable to find any range limitation.) If somebody moves away too far, he is out, if he returns into range, he gets it again.
Think about Paladin Auras in Diablo II and you very much got it.
I was a squad leader before and now I'm thinking about comming back. What's changed?
The only answer i can give on that is: Everything!
